HANS VS. No HANS

This site shows a short video of 2 people in a rally crash. The driver does not have on a HANS while his passenger does.

Watch the difference.

Re: HANS VS. No HANS

Probably the most significant safety device invention for the head and neck since the Snell Standards of approval system which began in the late '50's for helmets.

Rule of thumb:

If at any time what you are doing is propelling you at a rate faster than you can propel yourself by your own means, then, you need a helmet, period !

If you are racing in a vehicle of any kind, there should be some form of a HANS system in place, period !

Tomorrow, we may be racing there...

So, either lead, follow or get the f@ck out of my way...

you would think in all major motorsports world wide nowadays, would mandate the Hans device.

WHOA..........!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for posting the video... That is simply astounding.
Although I knew it was important in high speed motorsports,
this certainly highlights its importance for even moderate
crashes......

Thanks for that

Re: HANS VS. No HANS

Ouch! Scary....

The driver didn't wear one just so he could say- "Look ma, no HANS !!"

I know. Lame joke.....
