Home sick from work today and when i wasn't in the bathroom (i'll spare you the details) i was glued to The Weather Channel and the internet (Tornadovideos.net shows live chasers, cool site)...was a wreck until i found a Birmingham tv station website and saw that there was just a ton of rain at the track and that the funnel that was spotted was south of the Speedway...

can you imagine how awful it would've been had a tornado actually hit the campsites? Talk about having nowhere to run and hide!

That would be nasty if they can't find a place for them to go.I'm sure they have a safe place for them. Gotta have faith and hope it don't come to that.

I heard they let people into the media center and infield care center when the storms got bad.

Saw the report as well on TV. Looked like they had flooding in the infield, but everyone was okay. I was at the MIS race a couple years ago when they couldn't run the race until Tuesday. You can't imagine the mud on those campers when they were leaving!!!!!

Glad everyone was ok there & nothing hit other than a bunch of rain.

I seem to recall one yr a small tornado done damage to one section of a track. Well, not the track itself, but concessions & stuff & can't remember what track it was now.

On Office Depot's site there's an Ask Tony a question & he'll pick one out to answer every so many days. I asked him about what they do in a case of tornados coming their way, were to they go what do they do. I'll see if he answers. So far questions I've ever submitted hasn't been chosen to get answered.

S14W, keep asking your questions. Tony has answered a couple of mine.

These storms hit SE Oklahoma on Thursday night. It wasn't good.
