Interesting front row. Happy for both Austin and Truex Jr.

Re: Congrats Austin

Heck of a day for Earnhardt-Childress Engines. Half the top-10 I believe, with RC's four cars plus the 78. Great run for Truex Jr., gotta feel good for him to leave 2013 behind and sit outside pole for the Daytona 500.

This was the biggest surpise-- that really wasn't? Nascar--you're so predictable.

Re: Congrats Austin

SHR had a rough day, huh? Wasn't expecting them to all do so poorly earlier because they are generally better at plate tracks, but they all qualified below place 20, but hopefully, they have cars that are just faster in the long run... Really wasn't expecting those results from SHR.

I was totally expecting Austin though. He's been running pretty well during practice sessions, but NASCAR wouldn't surprise me for a minute if they staged that to draw in more fans because of the number 3's history. LOL

Re: Congrats Austin

bro, i wish he would just stop, he doesnt want to give anyone any credit for working hard, but yet he acts like a mental patient when no one agrees with him, this is getting real old.

Re: Congrats Austin

Really- Really hate to agree with Racer1 on anything, but as Danica last year I seen it coming, you knew it was going to be #3 - too much hype not to!
What happens to the #3 on Sunday i'd rather keep those thoughts to myself.

im glad he won P1, its his number now, he has nothing in common with danica, he actually wins and has the skill to race in nascar.

Re: Congrats Austin

Read these fan comments by link below but those happy about the #3 on the pole may not like many of the comments as most don't like the #3 back in the series and many don't like Dillon--go figure. This Shake & Bake online site link hasn't deleted all the negative opinions like the main Fox Sports article earlier allowing comments but then deleting the negative ones they don't like?

http://msn.foxsports.com/nascar/shake-a ... o-3-021614

Example--"How 'convenient' the #No3 ended up on the #pole, after all the hoopla over the No being used once again! hmmmm"

How true.
