Donald Trump to drive pace car in Indy 500

Real estate tycoon Donald Trump will drive the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Pace Car to start the 100th Anniversary Indianapolis 500 on May 29, it was announced Tuesday.

"It's a great honor to be selected," Trump said. "The Indianapolis 500 has been the gold standard of motorsports for a century, and I can't wait to get behind the wheel of the Camaro and bring the famous field of 33 drivers to the green flag."

He better keep the window up so his coif doesn't get mussed up.

Okay, I'm confused. Is The Donald pacing the Indy 500 or the Brickyard 400? And if it is the Indy 500, why would Mike Helton be riding beside him? Anyway, why you picking on Mike? He's cute! Anybody know if Mike is married?

Lets hope they don't get Trump to sing "Back Home In Indiana". I'd miss Jim Nabors. I'm not from Indiana but love the song just as I do "My Ole Kentucky Home" before the Kentucky Derby.

I don't really like him all that much but it's interesting that all these politicians and wannabe politicians make a stop at NASCAR in an attempt to win us over. MMMMmmm. Fortunately, they're usually the more conservatives who I tend to approve of... but Trump as Prez??.... Mmmm....?

My husband said the exact same thing. Donald Trump will do anything to keep his name in the media. With all his money I think I'd rather blow it and create a hoarding situation in his palace. Now that would be a hoot.
