Re: July Dirt Racing: Tony

Bummer. When I saw this updated I had a feeling that it was unhappy news.

After looking at my twitter.........it looks like Tony was spending his day in Indianapolis with the media. He probably couldn't cancel any of that to go to Limaland tonight. Do you think he will race at all at Eldora this weekend? He'll be in Loudon for practice and qualifying...........does that leave him any time to get to Eldora? Busy man.

Re: July Dirt Racing: Tony

I'm sure he will as he's always done in the past. One day he races, the other day he's track owner.

Tony normally runs the Friday night show. I know he did last year.

Saw Tony in an interview on Nascar Now last night and he made it sound like he would be racing both Friday and Saturday night at Eldora. He even repeated the words "Friday and Saturday".

It is beautiful in this area today. (I live 15 miles south of Eldora). It should be a great night of racing.

I will be listening on Dirt Vision tonight and tomorrow night.

Me too. Thank goodness for Dirt Vision! :) Although if I was as close as you, I might consider going in person.

If we could have gotten the seats we wanted we would have went, but my husband walks with a cane due to running heavy equipment for 20 years and he doesn't do steps well. We always try to sit no further down than 4 rows and by the time we had the money the seats were gone.

Re: July Dirt Racing: Tony

Not a very good weekend for Tony. Friday he doesn't make it into the main race. Saturday he gets dumped on his head, and has people now yelling at him for being ahhhhhhhhh "outspoken" in the interview. Then Sunday he runs out of fuel just as he had a chance to win the race! If I were him, think I'd go home and sleep (or drink or whatever) for 2 days until Tuesday night.

great idea H and H!! Plus with Eldora truck race coming up .......he needs to kick back and relax!! He is one busy boy!!

I am still sad about "no gas"....so close, but I was impressed with how well his car ran out front! He held off Kyle and that is not easy to do....his restarts were perfect! And I really liked the communication between Steve and Tony.....plus the two right tires and two left tires calls were the best way to get him track position, and when he had that he drove away with it.....sunoco we needed you!
