Races, tracks, drivers and all the drama that comes along with it

Unfortunately I won't be racing this weekend at Richmond. It kills me to not be in the car for my team and sponsors but after long discussions with the doctors we have decided to wait on my return back to racing. Thanks to all of my fans who have sent encouraging messages over the last month. I'll be back in no time.

I think JGR should start waving the white flag......what else can happen!
This is Denny's charity Short Track Showdown weekend
............ Does Logano have an invite?!?
I would say probably not! Tony does........

I was wondering I'd Denny chose to sit this thing out until the smoke clears.

there is no reason to rush it and effect him later on in the year or possibly permanent damage..

I hope he recovers fully. It was a potentially life altering injury.

Doctors did the same thing to me. When I would ask if I could go back to work they would say maybe next time. But I went back every two weeks not every week. Then I would show up & they would say maybe next time.
I would have been extremely impressed (& shocked) if he was able to get in the car already. when he 1st starting saying that I figured it was just him hoping more than the doctors saying he could.

Never a good idea to go back too early in most situations. Much less driving a race car

yeah you feel fine walking & doing normal stuff after a couple weeks, but if you hit that spot it drops you fast & reminds you that you are still injured. I couldn't imagine being in a race car 3+ hours with all the jarring it would be doing with that injury unhealed.

Its better to heal fully. If he were to race, maybe get in a crash and get hurt even worse, that might end his racing career. A few months off is not worth a whole future career down the drain.
