Yet again, a restrictor plate race ends with a wrecker during the checkered.
I missed that part.
Mike Helton I guess right now is saying there are people going to the carecenter & the hospital. No one is saying anything about the seriousness of the injuries, so that is concerning.
Let's say a prayer for those in the grandstands......I for one am very, very happy that Tony won that race. It is quite an accomplishment to tie Earnhardt Sr....Tony and all his fans should be proud of......WTG Tony.

Yeah, they only briefly mentioned it, saying they had no details, and then going back to driver interviews and didn't return to it.
It was jarring to see the motor sitting on the wrong side of the fence, burning like it was. I was surprised more security didn't get there faster. It looked like fans could go right up to the debris and the torn fence for the first ten minutes.
crap in one of the replays I saw a tire fly up into the grandstands. That is bad news! even saw one part go up into the upper section of the grandstands

I just got back from the race and that was a crazy one. Fortunately I was up high in sprint tower and only had a front row view of it all. I don't think NASCAR is letting much out. There was radiator fluid spewed everywhere and LOTS of debris came through that fence. It's hard to believe though how safe NASCAR has made these cars, b/c Kyle Larson was lucky to walk away from that one.
