Were you all watching the same races I was............? I loved it........my only problem was I had Kasey to win and Kyle second. I have missed racing all winter.......and now it's back!!!

Single-file-idiot-style isn't my kind of racing. We'll see after Sunday.

The Unlimited was fun to watch, the bottom line actually worked in that race, you saw drivers making runs, and blocking. The Duels were single file for 80% of the day.

I know Daytona is a great historical race but I find it very boring. Same as Talladega. I make sure the beer is cold and there is alot of it.... lol

My bf and I play a game called Driver Shots.... whenever they mention your drivers name (we pick two drivers) , you have to take a shot. It gets real fun by the end of the race....

Anybody ever last 'til the checkered flag at the Coke 600 ???? I'd think that would be tough to do. H3LL I go to the 600 every year, and it's tough to do with beer, let alone shots too. It IS fun seeing who's the last one standing tho'......

Yep, we're probably in for a boring 175 laps or so, but the last 10-15 laps could be carnage-filled as drivers jockey for position. (Maybe the drinking game should be to take a shot every time somebody says "Who is gonna be the first to drop down and make a move?" )

I hope it isn't one 35 or 36 car line up against the outside wall for 150-175 laps, but I like that it's less of a crapshoot. This is the Daytona 500, a random guy shouldn't win because he gets the right push at the right moment. Save that crap for Talladega. It's good that it'll be back to the old Daytona before the COT and especially before the repave, where you have to have a fast car but a good handling car to run up front.

Plate racing would be perfect for the Wide World of Sports.
Be there for the start of the race, with an update or two, then come back for the end of the race.
Watch ice skating in between & you will be happy when the single file race comes back on
