So with regan losing the 78 ride

Does that make the rumors of Kurt going there grow legs?
Does Regan move over to finch?
Does regan lose the game of musical rides next year?

Saw an episode of American guns that showed Regan uprooted & moved to Colorado to be closer to the team. Sounds like he was thinking it was gonna be a long term thing. That sucks for him. (& his family)

Quality drivers without a ride next year.
Kurt Busch
Brian Vickers
Regan Smith (not even sure he is gonna finish the season in the #78)

Re: So with regan losing the 78 ride

A quality driver would be one that can get a sponsor and that leaves the elf out. Regan moved there last year so that really sucks for him and his family. I don't think Finch will be racing next year unless he gets a sponsor. He's already said he can't afford to get the 2013 cars. The elf may get Regan's ride, but he'll destroy that team like he has Finch's. I read somewhere that Vickers was running NW full time next year but I don't remember where I read it.

Too bad, Regan's a good kid. I hope he finds a ride.

finch isnt racing next year if he doesnt get a sponsor, he cant afford to build new cars only to scrap the ones he has now

On speed during final practice, Bob Dilner said Kurt Busch had 4-5 contracts for next year.......someone please tell me there aren't that many stupid people out there! At least the sponsors have some sense left!

Re: So with regan losing the 78 ride

I am far from a Kurt Busch fan. I think he is a prick. But of course he has options. He is one of the best drivers out there. And he has actually been laying low for a while now. I couldn't care less if he raced another day. But he is always going to have a ride in NASCAR.

how about desperately stupid?

I think Petty is one of those... I read somewhere that neither Ambrose nor Almirola have contracts for next year. I think it has something to do with the Ford situation since Penske is going to be getting more from Ford and that means less for Petty.

Re: So with regan losing the 78 ride

I just read on Jayski that the elf and Vickers are on the short list for the 78 ride. But I thought I read somewhere that Vickers had a full time NW ride but I can't find anything on that now. They'd be way better off with Vickers, but that's my opinion. The elf still rips the crews apart on the radio. Just cause he shuts his trap around the track doesn't mean he's changed his abusive ways on the track.

the 78 team doesnt need a Champions provisional. They are solidly in the top 35.

Top 35 thanks to the kid that's out of the ride now. You have no idea how badly I want the elf to embarrass Furniture Row by having a meltdown. And yes, I do hold a grudge. That's how I feel and I believe I'm entitled to that. That's a precursor to the usual negative comments brought by a know-it-all or two. I haven't maligned anyone's performance or driving skills, so run along, nothing to see here.

Kurt Busch got he ride at Furniture Row Racing... so now what? Now he has a decent ride.. ECR motors.. SHR pit crew.. he may just show up and race next year.. like he used to do.
