Glad to see Ryan hang with Michael, like it's been said, Andretti Autosport gave him a shot when no one else (of the contending teams) would and they made a champ out of him. Loyalty is a beautiful thing, and it makes sense in this case. Sam Hornish probably could have seen the writing on the wall with Panther in 2003, even though he made a late charge with that new Chevy engine, when he signed with Penske for 2004 and beyond.

Got to watch the last 20 laps of that race and it was great to see Michael's team, with an American at the wheel, driving a No. 28 car win the championship. Will Power is terrific, his attitude after losing three championships in about the worst way possible shows enormous character. I don't mind him a bit. And I'm not one of the "I only root for Americans" folks, I love Tony Kanaan and Vitor Meira (did Vitor have a ride this year? Can't remember seeing him at Indy and that race and the last 20 laps Saturday were all the IndyCar I watched) and Graham Rahal is probably my least favorite.

How often can you say you heard of someone turning down a Penske Indy car ride?
