I guess NASCAR wanted Jeff Gordon to win

I followed the race on twitter. I guess they ran three extra caution laps and then it stated pouring. Why? Kevin Harvick said on the radio that they just wanted Gordon to win and make the chase. And Kahne not to have to pit.

Those extra three laps were b.s. I am not a Gordon fan. But I don't care if he wins a race or not it really doesn't bother me. But NASCAR looked pretty wishy washy.

they had called one to go & they called it off & just ran around until the rain came.
Ryan was wanting to know what they were waiting for, & asked to go ask Nascar what we are waiting for. Right after that Ryan came back on the radio & said never mind we are done. (it started raining)

Nascar obviously was ready to go green before the rain got there & called off the start anyways.
If they did go green instead of just sitting around, Kahne & Brad would have had to pit. Also not sure they could have gotten the race going again or not, but they almost instantly called the race as well.
I am not much on conaspiracy theories, but the whole senario was BS for whatever reason they wouldnt let them race.
They did change some rules the last time Jeff didnt make the chase, so this may have seemed easier to nascar than changing rules

This call and Elliott Sadlers call just makes NASCAR look more stupid than they really are! And they wonder why there are empty seats in the stands.

That sounds interesting. I don't buy into conspiracy theories either. But the whole situation reeks of BS. They had to get Gordon (the second most popular driver) in the chase some how. And now he is in.

i do follow JJ on the radio annalle, but had a important call when it happened, even the greats like me can make mistake.

not sure what your refering too. I didnt have a prob with them staying out during the yellow, but if it goes green he wouldnt be able to run fast without pitting. Brad was out of gas. If they go green, dont think he makes three laps of green.

I am personally questioning why they wouldnt let the field go green with a clear track & waited for the rain. Only ones I am blaming is Nascar.

JJ have a flat before or after he made contact with Matt? Doesn't really matter as it wasn't anyones fault but NASCAR Hey,what happened to the green/white/checkered,i'm so use to it now i was expecting it?
