Change Up In The NW JGR Drivers

Thu Jul 05, 2012 12:26 am

I just read that Denny has a sore back so he won't be driving the 18 in the NW race. They're moving Joey to the 18 and Clint Bowyer will drive the 20. Nothing was said on what happened to his back, something about he woke up with it sore? Anyway, I don't know why Joey couldn't stay in the 20 and put Clint in the 18, but it is what it is.

Any who, it might be something to think about for the Cup race but we'll probably be able to tell how Denny feels between the practices and quals.

Pulling Clint in is a smart idea, he's been on a roll lately and I, for one, am glad to see it. :D

The reason that Joey got moved up to the 18 and didn't stay in the 20 is because the 20 has to qualify in on time. They rather have one of the company drivers be locked and the one off have to qualify in on time ;) .

I wonder why they didn't use Ryan Truex Or Brian Scott, they are nationwide drivers for JGR. Clint is MWR. Ryan was robbed of a win from Joey at Dover, a chance at redemption would have been great for him, plus he is a very talented new driver. JGR must not have much faith in their stable of NW drivers. Then there is the non use of Kyle issue..their best shot for a win. Plus the equipment failures of JGR. This whole thing is just very strange..

they only use ryan t when he brings his sponsorship along, brian scott has his own full time ride in the 11, JGR and MWR actually share info so it makes sense to put clint in the car.

I too find it odd that JGR is not using Ryan Truex or Brian Scott. I can understand in a way why they would not look to Kyle. At this point in NW series Kyle is a competitor.

again brian scott has his own ride the number 11 dollar general car, and they only use ryan truex when he brings his own sponsor along, kyle is driving his own car this weekend, because kurt is driving the 1 car, am i speaking Chinese?

Moo Goo Gai Pan.....ahole.

We all understand Brian Scott's daddy buying him a ride. But apparently this car already has sponser ship for the race so why not let your next big superstar in training have a nice race at Daytona

I hope you at least give me a fortune cookie....

Wouldn't it have been just as easy to say that from the start?

When was the last time a JGR entry didn't qualify on time? Still doesn't make any sense to me but then again, I'm getting older by the day...

MJ and Doc may need a time out... Don't make me come over there now
