He's BACK...........................................

•Vickers back in #55 at Sonoma: Last weekend Brian Vickers finished sixth in the GTE-Am class in the 80th annual 24 Hours of Le Mans. This weekend he'll drive Michael Waltrip Racing's #55 RK Motors Toyota on the Sonoma road course in the Toyota/Save Mart 350. Sunday marks the third of eight races Vickers plans to run in the #55 in 2012 with Mark Martin and Michael Waltrip driving in the remaining races. Vickers finished fifth at Bristol and 18th at Martinsville in his only two 2012 appearances. He'll also drive in both New Hampshire races as well as Watkins Glen, Bristol and Martinsville in 2012. "I'm really looking to getting back into the #55 Toyota at Sonoma  especially after being away for so long, but it has been great to continue to build a relationship and run with (owner) Rob Kauffman. The #55 team has been running very well with Mark and I hope I can continue that momentum. They were SO close at Pocono. Rodney and the guys gave me a great car at the VIR test. We ran very competitive laps times against some guys that are considered the road race experts. So I am pretty pumped about that. I've had some success at Sonoma too. The last being the pole in 2009 and leading a bunch of laps before getting caught up in an incident. The road racing laps and experience I have gained at Le Mans will hopefully help me in the Cup Series
next week. All of that with the fact that it is indeed Sonoma, a great place to relax after a long day at the track  and it hopefully will be a successful weekend." RK Motors Charlotte.

Also among that group will be Boris Said driving the #32 and Brian Simo driving the #30.




One can only hope he minds his manners with Tony because we all now how that turned out!!!!!

seriously doubt anything will happen between those two, they are at both ends of the spectrum, plus if i remember correctly tony said he didnt fault vickers for dumping him...

I would hope his lack of rides this year would settle him down a bit. He did well at the 24 hours of Le Mans...

I can't stand this guy - sorry to all of his fans - and thought the blood clots would take him out permanently.... but, probably, just to irritate me, he got better. (( sigh ))

Vickers is a good driver and I felt bad for him when he had his blood clots. But he has always been a prima donna. He has to mind his ps and qs if h wants a fulltime ride so I am not worried about him.

but honestly he is a good driver who was getting back after a year off. He had his one race (the one with Kenseth) where he lost his mind, but that was it. everyone acts like that is how he is every race. There are a lot of drivers out there more wreckless than him.
& BTW the sonoma race with Tony I put all on Tony & his bad attitude. Dont think Tony should have or had the right to dump Vickers in that one, & also dont nor wouldnt blame Vickers for the retaliation he did to Tony. (Dont think tony blames him either)

You can't blame Vickers for the Sonoma incident. Tony felt he was blocking so he knocked him out of the way and Vickers retaliated. Granted, Tony got the worst of it but he knew it was pay back.

Vickers didn't look too bad in practice today...

That guy is idi*t.. Payback is OK, but his payback is same.. He wrecks other driver and also himself..
