Kurt Busch [one year deal in the #51]
Joey Logano [contract ends after 2012 season]

David Reutimann [one year deal with TBR]
Regan Smith [contract ends after 2012 season]

Re: Potential Free Agents for 2013

Probably has options in his contract. Hence no announcement and him not being on the free agents list.

Any I can guess how Silly Season will shake out

AJ: Unless he turns it around, he will be replaced by Sam Hornish Jr
Joey: He gets the boot
Martin Truex Jr: He wants to stay and if he keeps it up he'll have no issues resigning
Aric: I think Petty gives him a few more seasons
Regan: He has no where else to go really, he stays
Kurt: He is leaving, but where? I think he goes to MWR and is in the 55
David Ragan: He is doing just good enough to get resigned
David Reutimann: He'll either be racing fulltime with TBR or with BK racing, the team that he races for when not in the 10.
Mark Martin/Brian Vickers: Mark finally retires, and idk where Vickers goes.
Cup: 14, 1, 29, 88, 99, 11, 17, 39, 15, 5, 2, 16
NW: 7, 31, 3, 11, 60, 88, 12
Trucks: 9, 88, 3, 7, 17, 31
IRL: 10, 11, 12, 26, 3, 38, 27
RIP Dan Wheldon

Mark Martin's deal with MWR runs through 2013 so he will not be going anywhere next season.

Re: Potential Free Agents for 2013

Rumors around here is that Kurt could be going to RCR ?!?. Maybe to replace Jeff Burton??... Or maybe to JGR to replace Joey ???.....Another rumor is that Kurt and Kyle form their own cup team with Monster Energy???.. Another is he goes to Furniture Row and becomes a team mate to Regan Smith.???.. Who knows!! But it seems that NASCAR's bad boy who had nothing now has a lot of new options. Go figure!

JMO I think Ryan stays with SHR.

RCR spokesperson said today that Jeff Burton is going to be with RCR next year, so he is going no where.

Things change. If Kurt Busch comes knocking and Aarons wants to run fulltime, then who's to say he won't be in that car? Maybe a fourth car.

RCR is an option. But as a fourth car. But I feel that Childress wants to make that fourth car for Austin.

If Truex did move on (I dont see that happening) which I dont know where he would go (JGR?) I could see Kurt going to MWR.
I think Mikeys good guy image could help counter Kurts bad guy image.

Re: Potential Free Agents for 2013

Kurt could very well end up in the 20 car. But does Joe Gibbs really want to handle two Buschs? Though Kurt is a little more mature. And would home depot want him?

Kurt spoke to Furniture Row about being in a second car. FRM might not be a bad option for Kurt if they go to Dodge. He could build something.

I cant see Kurt going to JGR. Kyle bailed on Roush to not be on the same team as Kurt. I was talking if Truex left MWR. JGR really would be the only option for him. Then the 56 ride would open up for Kurt.

If Truex stays (which I believe he will) & Logano loses his ride. Assuming Ryan stays at SHR (which I am sure he will :( ) I would like to see Trevor Bayne land the 20 ride.

Like how I edited your post? ;)

I don't think Kurt will go to JGR either. But I am sure they are looking at him. He would be able to easily win in that car.

I think Truex Jr stays too, I could see Justin Allgaier or Trevor Bayne in the 20. JGR looked at Allgaier late in 2010. But he didn't have sponsorship to bring to the table.

Re: Potential Free Agents for 2013

I would love to see Trevor and Justin have a chance in Cup with a good team. JGR would be a good fit for either of them, but only one ride and two good drivers. I forgot about Brian Scott, not a good driver, but Daddy has mega bucks to fund his racing career.

Re: Potential Free Agents for 2013

Harvick slips out of his contract and Takes over the #20 ride, while Joey goes back to NW for JGR or the fourth team is developed with Bud.The #29 then becomes Kurts' new ride and we can hear even more chatter on the radio from the radio sweetheart! Kyle and Kevin teammates, now that would be something to see!

Very interesting scenario but I truly don't think Harvick would drive a Toyota... I think there would be too many other Chevy teams offering him a ride... And, unless the Elf (capital e since he's been behaving himself lately) can behave himself for at least a whole season, I don't see any team of any consequence offering him a better ride. He's embarrassed himself and them too many times. On the other side of the coin, Kyle's lackluster performance this season I believe is due to his "reigning" in his aggressive passion for this sport. Seems to be a case of "danged if you do, danged if you don't". It seems as if his spirit has been broken and sorry, to the Kyle haters, I think that is a sad thing. Don't get me wrong, I don't think what he did at Texas last year was right, but I hate to see him lose that passion that he had.

Well you could have outperformed Derrike Cope yesterday. So there are some seats you could fill my friend.
