Jimmie Johnson is one lucky SOB

I don't care who you are he has a golden horse stuck up his you know what for real...

First he gains his 25 points back and gets to keep his crew chief and car chief. Then he has mechanical issues while running 10th under caution and it rains. (Darian Grubb actually wanted to 48 sent back since cars passed him when he was smoking but NASCAR let him keep his spot).

You can't get luckier then that.

I still want the explanation on how he was able to retain his position. I think Marcos Ambrose should ask that question as well.

Re: Jimmie Johnson is one lucky SOB

That's a great point, I forgot about the Marcos Ambrose thing back in 2009, funny Johnson ended up winning that one too.

Just another case of NASCAR's inconsistency.

I think the difference is Marcos completely stopped on the track. JJ didn't.

Look at the bright side, they could have finished the race and the #18 could have won, just saying. Don't have to maintain positon per say during caution, long as you keep rolling till that red flag comes out and you do as the rest of the field at that point.

Re: Jimmie Johnson is one lucky SOB

[i]Look at it this way garage mates someday he'll get "his". I felt the same way about Jeff Gordon for years thinking his luck was never going to run out but check his 2012 season. His interview yesterday was pathetic but someday they all have to have rotten luck like everyone else.

Re: Jimmie Johnson is one lucky SOB

MJ it could be any driver, even Tony, and I would be questioning how they were allowed to keep their position. At least I am not like many who said that NASCAR saw JJ coming into pits and that is why they quickly threw the red flag.(read the a lot since Sunday)
