you give up too easy. i was liking the rare occurrence of a small debate on this site. i dont think it happened on purpose or that anyone on his crew loosened it. it just broke.. at the right time, in the right place on the right day 10 years to the day on the right weekend. bam, mikey waltrip is a best seller novelist.

According to the ruling, it was a part failure on the wing that allowed it two flatten out...part failure. Looking at the back end of the trucks used at Daytona each side of the two piece spoiler had three (3), THREE braces keeping it in place.
So there had to be a catatrophic failure of three (3), THREE independant braces on that side of the truck in order for it to go completely flat like it did. I'm going find all the things in my house and on my chevy that have three braces on it, see that they all fail at the same time, and get myself a new Chevy...
1o years later, Mikey driving a truck dedicated to Earnhardt, a "made for tv" special in the making, wasn't it, folks?

I would just call it Good Luck. You couldn't make that happen on a certain lap where it would be legal no matter how good you are. JMO
