With all these appearances, it sound slike NASCAR is really trying to get fans in the stands.

Yeah, the economy sucks & Nascar knows it. at the Nashville Superspeedway they are givin a Free R. Petty ride when U buy season tickets! that track only seats 45,000 tops, & there lucky to get half of them sold! what a shame!

NHIS in Loudon has a seating capacity of almost 105,500 and last fall was the first time they have not had a sell out crowd in years. There was talk at one time of cutting this track down to one race which made no sense when they were one of the few who always had sell out crowds. Why would you eliminate a track from the schedule who has sellout crowds with a seating capacity this high. Just saying.

It will be interesting to see how Kentucky does as a "new" NASCAR track for it's Cup race.

From today's newspaper:
Super offer extended to fans
The fans frozen out of the Super Bowl on Feb. 6 in Arlington, Texas, got another offer, but this time not from the NFL. Las Vegas Motor Speedway offered tickets to the March 4-6 NASCAR weekend to fans displaced from Super Bowl XLV because their seats weren't ready. LVMS representatives said 34 took advantage of the offer; those fans will be in a random drawing to win airfare plus three nights at the Stratosphere Hotel, Casino and Tower. The NFL has made increasingly valuable offers to those fans in the weeks since the Super Bowl.
