Doesn't matter where Tony starts. Carl's pole doesn't worry me a bit. As long as Tony's car is fast enough, he'll beat Carl. Tony does good from the back anyway.

I just feel like Tony is going to be like a bat outta #### ll race long. Take chances and go straight to the front. He is happy with his car which is the most important thing. He has Ryan his teammate on his side, plus the Hendrick drivers, plus Happy and few other Chevy buddies.

It isn't where you start it's where you finish. Tony is going to have to win the race to the title I feel though.

Well, as long as he's happy with the car, I guess it'll be okay, but having Ragan in front of him @ the start may be a hindrance. GGGGGOOOOOOOOOO SMOKE!!! Roast some Duck. 8-)

I think all of the Fords are going to try their best to screw Tony so Found on road dead can win a championship. I think someone should tweet Vickers and tell him Carl called him a no talent fag!

You guys need to calm down. There was 2 practices today. One at 9.30 am and happy hour at 3.00 pm. In the 1st practice, Carl made 2 qualifying runs and two runs of 15+ laps. Tony ran one qualifying run and 3 runs of 15+ laps. In Happy Hour Tony made 3 LONG green flag runs, Carl ran just 3 laps in qualifying trim. So yes, Carl got a great pole run and 1st spot on pit road, but his entire practice in race trim was done in the AM practice. Also, on runs of 15+ laps or more, Carl's car fell off the pace BIG TIME. He wasn't even in the top 15 when it came to runs of 15 laps or longer. Tony however was 8th best. So Carl made no race runs in happy hour, which will closely match race conditions and had a big falloff on long green flag runs. I think Tony has gotten to the 99 team. For the last 3 weeks, the 14 team has openly stated it has focused on qualifying. I think the 99 team was threatened by that and put too much focus on qualifying this week. Yes, they got what they wanted in pole position, but at what cost?

I also saw that Tony got a decent pit stall, right in between start and parker Nemewreck and Cassil.

Practice's........ Carl's just toying with Tony, Carl has the car to beat. Homestead isn't a good track for Tony to race on which is against him.

Tony:
2010 finished 8th
2009 finished 22nd
2008 finished 2nd

2007 finished 30th -3 laps down

Tony has 2 wins at this track, how is it not a good track for him?

OK......found the chassis for tomorrow:

Chassis No. 14-671

Made its debut in late July in the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis. It qualified 24th, and after serving a pit road penalty on lap 29 that dropped it to 32nd, rallied to finish sixth. Prior to Indianapolis, it had never turned a wheel on the racetrack, but it did spend considerable time in the wind tunnel. Chassis No. 14-671 made a handful of return trips to the wind tunnel in preparation for its second career start in October at Charlotte, where it made an immediate statement by winning the pole. Stewart then dominated the first half of the Bank of America 500 by leading three times for 94 laps. He faded, however, in the second-half of the race when his car got tight in traffic, but he persevered to finish eighth. The season finale at Homestead will mark Chassis No. 14-671's third career start.

To each their own. Everyone has their own opinion.
I'm not gonna blow sunshine up anyone's rear end.
Just because I don't feel Tony isn't going to fair at some track doesn't make me any less of a fan. Those who think so are the ones with the problem.

its not that its a bad track for tony, and if my memory serves me right, which i am always right, those two wins came on the old configuration, carl has been having great runs at homestead since 05
his worst finish is 14th and that was in 04 since 05 he has had 2 wins 5 top five and 7 top tens, so it is going to be a good race tomorrow, i hope it is a clean race, im getting real bored with drivers in all series trying to plow someone over...
