Hoping for Dario to repeat, or for Tony K to take the checkers....

Pre-race was pretty cool, I always get goosebumps watching Jim Nabors sing "Back Home in Indiana!"
Pretty sure he sang it 100 years ago.....

Wow for a second there I thought JR Hilderband 23 years old was going to be the Trevor Bayne of the IRL. That is a tough way to lose the Indy 500.

Happy for Dan Wheldon though. This win reminds me of Jamie winning the Daytona 500 last year. Even though Dan has a championships, now 16 wins including six in one season and an Indy 500 already he has no ride, no one believed in him any more and in his first race of 2011 and in a one off deal wins with a team made by his former teamate Bryan Hearta amazing.

WOOHOO - what I tell ya!!! Way to go Dan... now TWO time winner of the Indy 500!!

Now, if only my picks for tonight are as good... I got no points for this one. :( But I don't care... Dan won :!: :!: :!:

man that was a major heartbreaker for the Rookie. Couldnt imagine how he feels right now. All the what ifs he will replay forever in his mind. Also what I realized after his interview, is his Sponsor was National Guard on Memorial Day Weekend. Just imagine being a Rookie driving into Victory lane on memorial Day with National Guard on the Car. Man that kid has to be sick.

the 500 was blacked out here.. but i saw replays. i was rooting for tagliani.. he drives for sam schmidt motorsports and he is a local used to be racer that is in a wheelchair now due to racing accident.

too bad BOTH national guard cars were out on the last lap.. smh

feel really bad for JR hildebrandt. he will have nightmares forever about that.
