We are way off topic but what the heck.

Unfortunately, it's things like this that "turn off" the true race fan. Things like "the lucky dog" and purposely setting up tire compounds to break down quickly. The car body's being all the same other than the nose. I understand Nascar is trying to appeal to everyone to increase the cash flow in their favor. But, you will never be able to please "everyone" in America and abroad!

Dale Junior makes the cash register ring so Nascar will always cater to him. It's all about money and the entertainment value to Nascar. They have to please the race fans and sponsors and car owners other than that......... :)

Re: POST ALL STAR RACE

I agree, Jr is a cash cow and NASCAR will milk him dry as long as the fans vote for him.

It's the same with Danica... love her or hate her, she'll bring in the money.

Re: POST ALL STAR RACE

Didn't Kasey win the Fan Vote in 2010? He did cause Jr was already in because of a win ?? hmm

Jr is even getting embarrased by it too. His comments over and over about wanting to race his way in all day Friday kinda told how he feels.

They should have a drawing for eligible names each year. That would give the top 10 drawn a chance. jmo

Coming from someone who voted Jr.in,i feel now like i should have went with my first instinct and voted someone else in.The #5 and #24 least got up there and showed a little excitement or chance outside the Roush cars and #18,Jr. was terrible.Harvicks crew least got the car in the top ten and they stuggled with the handling all night.Paul Mennard was going to be my first choice over Jr.,won't make that mistake again if he continues like this.Ken Shrader is one i often picked over the years.

Re: POST ALL STAR RACE

before his tangle menard had a good car, i would have liked to see him in there, jr was horrible in the showdown race, and no offense alot of those drivers are lightweights and he still struggled, sooner or later, they are gonna have to start looking at the driver, instead of crew chiefs.

Dale Jr is such a marketable product that millions can be made off of his name/likeness alone and he knows this!

So, his driving ability seems to come second almost as if it doesn't matter. Very sad but true. His fan base has been reduced into a frenzy by Junior simply leading a single lap in a race......how sad is that! If he wins, he makes the cover of Rolling Stones!
