POST DARLINGTON!!!!!!!

Newman was great in "clean air" at the very beginning of this race but fell victim to the usual bad pit stops. Those bad pit stops had Newman going backwards with in-proper car adjustments.

But, as the race progressed, Newman and team had the car going back towards the front but didn't have enough for victory lane!

Still, a top 5 finish was pretty good! Newman in now 6TH in points!

Congrats to Ryan & the #39 team, who never gave up. Great finish

I was really getting bummed during the race, especially after the way Ryan was running up front and leading at one point, just to have him fall back to the teens after the pit stop and track bar adjustment. I was thinking, "Oh no, here we go again!". But I think the way the team hung in there and kept working hard and fixing the car to allow Ryan a 5th place finish was awsome.

Those are the kind of teams that can win a championship. When you are able to take an ill handling car and make the right changes to put you at the front at the end of a race, you are making progress. Look at how many times the 48 has done this. Awsome job team #39! Awsome driving Ryan! Up two spots in the points! Bring on Dover!

BTW - Regan's pit crew actually works for SHR! Looks like they have the bragging rights thus far!

I know what you're saying L-39!

You and I have been long time fans of Newman and we both know just by watching what is going on. You can't pit first.....then loose 6 spots after you pit........UNACCEPTABLE!

You can not afford any mistakes in this top series because there are so many cars just as good as yours. So, your only way of gaining anything is pit stops and "PERFECT CAR BALANCE" by the end of the race. Something(car balance)team #39 needs lots of improvement on and in a hurry!

The 48 has shown us all that consistent top 5's and 10's and 2-4 wins per season and "unbelievable good racing luck"(can't deny it folks) can get you 5 Championships. No need to brag about Jimmie or Chad or their guys at the shop. That is a given!

All is not lost so far this season. I have seen the good the bad and the ugly with Team #39. All they need to work on is the bad and the ugly to be a Championship team!

I'm a little more of a demanding race fan of Newman's. After meeting him in person 4 times and watching countless radio/TV shows and races since 2002. I have become a little impatient I guess. Ryan I know for a fact feels he's way overdue but it all pays the same if you think about it. He really wants a win for the Army no doubt!

I as a fan have had my share of "all the bad" that can happen to Newman. I'm ready for things going his way for an entire racing season!
