POST RICHMOND

This was a bit of a snooze race in my opinion. :?

Ryan decided to get into a whizzing contest with Montoya and got his car tore up. His car was a solid top 10 for sure maybe better? He finishes 20TH.

Kind of disappointing but it seems it's always something getting in Newman's way of a good night. :x

What say you..................... :D

Re: POST RICHMOND

I say JPM made the mistake of going high before clearing Ryan, and still had to Take Ryan out for his own mistake. After the race he couldn't even man up to talk to Ryan or the press. Montoya has absolutely no class and is gutless. At least Logano stood toe to toe with Ryan last year after their run-in.

Re: POST RICHMOND

I picture if NASCAR keeps their "have at it boys" rule on this type of situation where other cars can get involved. I picture Ryan going back after JPM next week or in the weeks to come.

I just see a repeat of BK and CE except this time it will be between Ryan & JPM. I don't have a problem with the "have at it boys" to an extent, when you are driving at speeds that these guys are and where other drivers can be seriously injured or killed...this is where I object.

Michael, I agree with you. I don't ever remember JPM standing up to another driver, but he is good at taking his aggrivation out on the track. What a wimp.

Re: POST RICHMOND

I understand the boys have at it but it seems everytime you turn around Montoya is getting involved with something. Really showed how much of a puzzy he is by high-tailing it out of there so quick. It's the biggest reason why Montoya is so dis-liked and it's also the reason he doesn't contend for more wins. He thinks he never does anything wrong. EVER.

Re: POST RICHMOND

it is what it is... nascar should have never made that stupid comment, cuz drivers can get away with dumping anyone whenever they feel, i personally dont feel it makes for a safe environment on the track, but nascar will wait til someone is seriously hurt or dies to truly address this issue.

Montoya also has no balls and truly showed just how little of a man he is. Obviously if Ryan goes after him anytime soon, he'll get in trouble, but I for one cannot wait for the day when the payback comes!

Re: POST RICHMOND

Juan heading straight to the trailer is definitely not what I expected. I guess I expected Montoya to meet up with Newman like Lagano did last year. How sad is it that lil' Joey will stand up but Juan will not. Maybe Juan learned something from Joey's interaction with Newman last year & realized that he was better off. LOL

Re: POST RICHMOND

im sure i will get nailed for this, but i am use to it, i look at everything from both sides, and maybe JPM dumped ryan cuz he had a good car and sat on the pole, it has been known to happen, that is why i wrote in my original post, "it is, what it is." there is no right or wrong in this situtation

Re: POST RICHMOND

Juan does this all the time. It's why he has few fans in the stands. If things don't go his way he dumps anybody around him. It's very well known. And it's a problem.

Re: POST RICHMOND

i say ryan will pay him back in the all star race.. hey how can he get in trouble for that.. ryan is smart enough to make it look non-intentional.

i thouht ryan handled that with class in the post hauler interview, even though he is still confused as to why nascar wouldn't penalize juablo.

Re: POST RICHMOND

The All Star Race... good thought, Dani. That opportunity didn't occur to me.

Ryan DID handle himself very professionally during the interview on his way to the NASCAR hauler. He didn't say anything that might get him in trouble. I don't think NASCAR will do anything further to/with JPM. :(

Re: POST RICHMOND

I wasn't crazy about this feud for the simple reason Newman has a hard enough time trying to finish races as it is! :?

Yes, controversy sells and always has. I was the controversial writer over at Ryan's official site for many, many years but had to relinquish my given title. Got sick of the attacks! It figures I leave his official site then they do a complete face lift on it!

I hope Ryan handles this in a mature manner. He can ill-afford getting cars wrecked for such silly reasons and he knows it! ;)

Re: POST RICHMOND

Montoya and Harvick got toe to toe once in a road coarse race a few years back.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMCmiTnFlL4

Bottom line, what Montoya did was intentional. Every fan, every driver, and Nascar could tell he intentionally wrecked Ryan. Regardless of why, intentional wrecking should not be allowed and should have been punished. I don't care if it happens with the 41st and 42nd cars running in the race. This act was left unpunished by NASCAR which tells me that they are going to allow it. I really don't see anything to keep Ryan from doing the same thing back except the fact that it will just hurt his team and cost him more in the end. Unless it happens at the All-Star race.

Nascar = epic fail when it came to punishing the 42 saturday night. Don't be surprised if Ryan makes his decision based on how NASCAR plays the cards this week. One thing for sure, it's not over.

Re: POST RICHMOND

I am gonna have to disagree with MJ on this one. In the 1st wreck, JPM either A. tried to block Ryan taking himself out, or B. his spotter didnt tell him, someone was outside. So either way Ryan shouldnt have been the one JPM was mad at. So now that because Either himself or his spotter made a mistake, he wrecks Ryan on purpose. I see all wrong & no right on JPM's part. Not as you say no right or wrong, but all wrong.

My worry is Ryan is an old school driver where they deal with it in the garage out of their cars, & the sad thing is, Nascar will stop that at all costs, but out on the track where it costs tons of money it is ok to retaliate. (& usually to more than one team) I worry about Ryan going to jail more than him getting a torn up race car. Nascar is okay with BS moves as long as their are cameras to show it. I miss the good ol' days where #### kickings were exceptable.

Re: POST RICHMOND

Jail? I can't believe that a person like Ryan would ever get himself in a position like that. No way.
