... but he missed the Chase!?! Go figure. Ryan Newman’s Team Wins Richmond Race Awards
Ryan Newman’s (39 Chevrolet) team wins race awards in the Sprint Cup Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond International Raceway.
Newman won the Mobil 1 Command Performance Driver Award. Crew Chief Matt Borland won the Moog Chassis Parts Problem Solver of the Race award for improving lap times 0.203 seconds from first half of the race to the second half. Newman, who started 24th and finished third, is 13th in the 2013 Sprint Cup point standings. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/player ... 366&spln=1

Ryan's failure to make the Chase starts & ends with his pit crew. They blew the money stop - period!
well it ends with the pit crew. That is true enough. Don't think you can say it starts with his pit crew. Love the way some want to dismiss the BS that happened.

I know this is scarcastic but "maybe Bowyer was trying to get to Oz and got confused." He had such a wild look on his face and he didn't think quite fast enough when asked if he cheated. I just hope NASCAR doesn't toss this one and then if someone else pulls something they get smacked.

OK, now that Ryan is in the Chase, I think Tony should swap pit crews between the #14 & the #39. Yeah, I know that would be a slap in the face of the #39 crew, but we are now used to face slaps.

Not just pit crews...but maybe crew chiefs and say it is because of that screw up in the pits last weekend.

I don't know that you would want to change CC's at this point. Ryan & Matt have developed a relationship - radio communications, etc. Ryan doesn't have direct contact with the pit crew members, so the impact would be minimal.

no way. Borland has proven (for this year anyways) he is the smartest CC SHR has had this year.
He leads by a big margin in the Moog CC award. Not gonna change CCs for the final ten races. that is crazy talk.

borland can run circles around addington while sleeping.
