Tell Ya What

If not for two wrecks at the end of the 500, ol' Ryan would be far and away leading the standings right now. That's pretty awesome for him. I don't usually look at this part since I'm not a huge fan of his but it's been awesome to see him run so well. I know there's a long way to go, but I love the way both cars have run. They keep this up, somebody here, whether it's Tony's fans or Ryan's, very well could be celebrating a title in November.

Are we allowed to wish for a 1 & 2 for SHR and it makes no difference who is in which position. Kind of like Hendrick did 2 years ago by taking 1, 2, & 3.

it would be a great accomplishment if SHR finished 1,2, or if just one of them won the tittle, considering haas was a low level team struggling to make the top 35 just 3 years ago...

Three years ago Haas was trying to make the top 35 in points...absolutely correct. Then he teamed up with Tony Stewart who brought in Ryan Newman and two years ago they both ended up finishing in the chase. Last year only Tony was in the chase. Last year, I think they both started off in reverse and it took them both some time to find first gear and move forward.

This year they are both starting off the way they did two years ago...they came out of the gate with engines running and tires spinning and charging up through the field. If Tony and Ryan are running this well now, I can't wait to see what this summer brings.

Certainly, everyone is allowed to do anything (well, depending on who you ask here...). I'd love to see a 1-2 but obviously bias creeps in, I want Stewart to win his third.

I'm looking for Tony to finish 1st & Ryan 2nd (sorry Ryan) so that Tony can record his 40th win before his 40th birthday.

After that, Ryan can win all the races he wants and I'll be perfectly happy.
