I did a little cruising around on here today and read a few posts/replies as I very seldom do. It's nothing personal. It's my short attention span I guess.
I have to admit myself. Ryan is no longer the qualifying king of Nascar. Hasn't been for many, many years. Only at certain race tracks does qualifying even matter as far as pit selection. We all know it's where you finish anyway right! It's not only qualifying that has gone away but winning races!
Most of us race fans can only hope for Top 5'S and 10'S honestly. Race wins are so few and far between! When you go months not even seeing Top 5's or 10'S in any given race season. You practically need a caffeine buzz just to stay awake to the race finish! I'm not referring to Ryan currently. That's just a blanket statement folks in general.
Newman over-all so far this racing season has been pretty good! But, with two DNF'S this early in the season already. He can ill-afford more than 3 more and that's pushing it...........
I haven't been all that happy about Newmans career with S/H. Who do you blame if anyone folks? I know, just accept it for what it is and not worry about it! With Hendrick engines/chassis I thought for sure they were the missing links for Ryan to have great success and to see Tony win his third Championship. I was excited for Tony but what about my number one driver?
I guess when the going gets tough as a Nascar fan. All that's left is "acquiring" a positive attitude and look forward to the next race!
