GLOOM,DISPARE AND AGONY ON TEAM #39 SO FAR!

You know folks. I work hard all week and my last day of work is Sunday. I look forward to watching Nascar after I get off work at 4:00PM.

So, when my chosen Nascar driver since 2001 has a major but vary "rare" brain fart in missing a shift. That's on my driver! Ryan , one lap down, blew up his engine folks. It is what it is........

There wasn't a lot of promise early on with this track. Newman was not real fast in practice. That's mainly a foreshadow us Newman fans recognize very quickly.

I realize this year is nothing but a learning curve for all teams except for the best team in modern Nascar the #48 team. Like I have said all this year. It's business as usual for them. ALL Nascar teams compare themselves with Team #48 that's just the way it is folks! ;)

Newman was awarded P38 with his second DNF so far this racing season

Your comments if you so desire..............

Maybe with the death of his grandfather Ryan's mind could have been on his family. This would be understandable, even though a racer should keep their mind on the race they are only human. It would be hard for anyone to push the loss of a loved one to the back of their mind. Good luck next week Ryan.

Hey Kim! So glad to see you posting. If it weren't for the Stewart fans stopping by. Us Newman fans wouldn't have anyone hardly to talk to. This site is predominantly a Tony Stewart site. I can fully understand that.............

You may be right. There are many far more important things in this life other than Nascar no doubt. It's just the fact this may be Ryans last year with S/H and I thought he would come out with both guns blazing this year. It's early but still....1 for 3 races is disappointment. No biggy!

Unfortunately, I have to think it's a case of "Here we go again".

Just going to make my decision to retire from wasting so much time on NASCAR and #39 at the end of the year easier.

There, I've given everybody a target...have at it.

Unfortunately, it seems to be a case of here we go again. It seems like there is a bulls-eye painted on Ryan's back. I am not going to give up, and this might be a blessing disguise, who knows?

I know your pain and suffering 39_newman. Ryans roller-coaster 13TH year stock car racing career will test even the most hardened central nervous system!

I watch NASCAR to be entertained. Not to be tortured with so much inconsistency! Ryan gets payed while his fan base has to wait till next week to see what may unfold?...........if anything? :?

Sorry about my negative commentary folks.

Hey RG61! I know you are supposed to blindly support your favorite driver through thick and thin times but man. This gets so old...........

Once again, I will always be a Ryan Newman fan. I made that commitment back in 2001. Just like I did with my Cincinnati Bengals pro football team way back in the 70's. :D Doesn't mean I'm enjoying myself..........

Re: GLOOM,DISPARE AND AGONY ON TEAM #39 SO FAR!

yes, that's about all I can say is "here we go again". Not far away from the season already being shot as far as contending for points.

This is why I say forget about points and just do crazy strategies all year, and try to get those poles.

SHR just doesn't look right in general right now. Tony was no better than Ryan yesterday and they were right near each other most of the day. Before Ryan lost his engine he was right there again for the lucky dog which I think at that time Tony had just picked it up before that.

Wish we'd see Ryan in Nationwide more too, those races have been funner to watch this year.

Other than my Ohio State Buckeyes.(football) I haven't supported a consistent winner of any sport my entire life!

What else can we talk about on here.....unicorns and rainbows and marshmallow pie?

Exactly right 8Ballin! Newman can't afford many more mistakes with 2 DNF'S already in race #3!

You mentioned,"SHR just doesn't look right in general right now?" This is why I mentioned maybe Matt just starting from scratch on set ups rather than someone elses handed down notes. It couldn't hurt at this point!

Was hard to judge this race since Newman couldn't finish the darn thing!

I'm sorry for the Newman family and the loss of his grandfather. It was one of his grandparents that introduced Ryan to Krissie. His grandparents are very special to Ryan. I'm not going to go into his racing of late as I'm sure it isn't what he'd prefer.

Krissie Tweeted earlier this morning that the family was heading to Indiana today for the funeral.

RIP Poppy.
