Kobalt Tools 400 Las Vegas 3/10/13 Sunday!

Wed Mar 06, 2013 11:13 am

To sum up Phoenix for Ryan.......YUUUUUUUK! Let's move on.........

With this Gen.6 car and new race team. We have no idea how well Ryan will do at any track this year. To me, that makes each race more exciting than ever!(as long as he can finish races?) Other than Jimmie Johnson, most teams will have to work hard to put together the puzzle at each track. It's "automatic" for Team #48...

Las Vegas is your typical paved 1.5 mile super speedway. The race will be this Sunday starting at 4:00PM(ET). Ryan Newman is currently 20TH in points. :?

I have to work most races so I have to DVR them and I look forward to watching them when I get home from work. So, when Ryan is out of these races early. It is depressing! I almost loose interest. You never get use to it. You simply tolerate it race to race! So I apologize for my "knee jerk" reactions race to race. I'm only human. :D

Love the Picts and captions.... and I still love the black and white paint scheme on the test cars.

I know what you mean Annalee. These 3 hour races can be such a bore if your drivers out early....at least wait till the very end if your going to wreck or what ever! :? :D

Off Topic:Did you guys get the big snow? There's about 5 inches here and we got lucky. Work is going to be so much fun later today(sarcasm)

I love Nascar but I also have other interests to sort of off set a bad race. Sometimes I turn to food to sooth my stress. Apple pie and vanilla ice cream....Home Made pint of raspberry chocolate chip.......key lime pie...CHEESE CAKE!

if anything I just hope it is an entertaining race, so far this new car is 0-2 on that aspect as both the first races were majority single-file with limited passing. I still support the idea of it and the change from the COT gen 5, though since 2010 we saw a lot of good races with the gen 5 since they made changes to it. Just hope that with this new car it doesn't take 3 years to fix it.

Also the aero and rule changes with this car were specifically supposed to help improve racing at the mile-and-halfs. Tough to judge the car with Daytona and Phoenix, and it's still probably too early to tell - but hopefully these races will look different than they have. As these races with the later gen-5's were still mostly kind of boring.

I just still want to see a pole run for once - get that 50th while Ryan's still in a good car! Else, who knows. I'd like to see them forget about points too and just do what it takes to get up front, like we always see with Paul Wolfe/BK.

if these cars are getting aero tight on a 1 mile track. It will only get worse on the faster, bigger tracks. :(
