If there was one less caution I think Ryan finishes about 5th, since there was the last one, he had to start on the inside, losing spots on the restart. Seemed as the run goes on the harder it was for any cars to pass, relegating him to a 10th place. I know it is hard to believe that starting one spot different can make a 5 spot difference in the end, but it is how I see it.
But then as I sat back & thought about it. It is nice to be able to be upset with a 10th place finish. Last year I would have relished in the thought of a top ten. This year I am wanting (semi-expecting) top 5's. Is that fair...... nope, but it is nice. he finished 10th & is tied for 3rd in points, & I was thinking they had more, which is better than having to use trickery or pit stratergy to gain their positions.
People should take my disappointment as a positive right now. Its a nice place to be.
Irony huh!?
This has to be his strongest start in a long time.
signed Nice to be disappointed

I agree Schmoopy. It does seem strange to be disappointed in a 10th place. This is Ryan & teams best start in the 3 years with SHR & Ryan has said himself that he is very confident with where the team is right now. So onto California & another top 5!
