After the race

they were telling Ryan he was the man for being able to drive his car to a 5th place finish even though throughout the whole race his hood was caved in due to the supports in his hood failing (however that happens)
Ryans reply was he was just happy to finish the race with all four tires on the ground LOL

Re: After the race

Ryan did a great job! So, so close....WTG...Top five.......Bloomin Monday :) After seeing Ryan's hood I rewound the race and there is just a lot of air turbulence around these new cars. Jamie Mac's hood was dancing around, so was Denny's....I am sure Matt will fix that.

Re: After the race

Congrats to Ryan, it's about time his luck changed!

The hood thing is strange cause they've been talking about how much stiffer these new hoods were compared to the old sheet metal ones...

Re: After the race

awesome job working his way back up today after a bad week since qualifying day. His car looked like it had speed at the end. Too bad everyone just wanted to follow-the-leader and not try anything (except Jr. and Martin) at the end, that was very surprising to me. They talked all week about how you couldn't wait until the 3rd turn on the last lap to try something with this car?

Re: After the race

Are their pictures of Ryan's hood during the race? I never did see the damage during the broadcast, and the announcers barely gave him a mention.

Re: After the race

That's pretty funny, no surprise seeing as Ryan is hilarious.

Me too! ^ ^ ^

And I'm gonna say, "Annalee style" ( hee hee hee )...

They got #5, working with in-op equipment and against Fate & aerodynamics, all trying to stop them. :-)

Re: After the race

Just got back into town!

Was glad to see Ryan over come all his atrocities that seemingly always surround him. It seems he can never smoothly finish a race no matter how hard he tries! :D

Haven't watched my DVR of the race yet. All that really matters is the last lap anyway! :D

A top 5 finish is always welcome. Nice work Team #39! :D 8-)

During the post race interview of Ryan, if you looked between the people, you could see the hood on his car....

Maybe some of you know why that happened......all the cars were put through the wind tunnel, wouldn't something like weakness of the hood show up there? I don't know? Inquiring minds want to know? ;)

Re: After the race

I liked his interview after the race. They kept trying to move on to the next question & Ryan said hey I want to talk about my sponsors LOL

Re: After the race

I would hope that it has been obvious for a number of years that Darrell Waltrip despises Ryan. If it weren't for Mike Joy and Larry McRenyolds you wouldn't here about Ryan. I can give you some proof of this if you want.

the thing about DW is he is a corporate puppet & only will talk about what Fox wants to talk about, & Ryan isnt what FOX wants to talk about. (& mention his brother when he can)
They only mentioned Ryan twice. Once when they listed the 1st 6 rows of a restart & after the race when they said he finished 5th. It is more than just DW.
