The more burning question is,"Where does Ryan go from here?" What organization would be an improvement? He doesn't have a wealthy sponsor in love with him so far.........Alltel was his most dedicated..hum?
If Newman seriously only has $950 grand in the bank. He will need to work many more years to fatten his savings account in support of a family of 4!![]()
I doubt Ryan would end up on another mediocre race organization and run around in circles mid pack or worse again. Been there and done all of that.................Going back to Penske is an interesting thought as a last resort only though.

Not saying it hasn't always been sponsor driven, but talent has taken a backseat, or maybe even a rumble-seat... For me, seeing sponsors like Menard's put all that money behind a "never will be" is very discouraging... Not too many drivers have just one sponsor anymore and I don't think it's just the economy that's to blame. The sport has become way too expensive and GoDaddy, for one, is going to feel that this year... Seems the merchandise the driver can sell gets you a sponsor over talent. The few elite drivers that have both talent and merchandise sales are all that's holding this sport together, at least to me.
