RYAN NEWMAN WRAP UP OF 2012!
Ryan did have one win this year. It wasn't a convincing win I felt. He was simply at the right place at the right time in my opinion.
Not sure how many Top 5's or Top 10's as if it would even matter now anyway. Newman had NO poles this year for the first time since he started stock car racing. That was a little disturbing..........
Most of us on here knew Tony Gibson was not a good fit for Ryan since I think 2009? Gibson's Nascar resume was mediocre at best and that was about his obvious skill level.......mediocre! This is just one mans opinion. Was he better than I give him credit?
I have never questioned Ryan's driving abilities but ALL Nascar race teams require "great support teams" and lots of money! Not sure where S/H falls into as far as that is concerned?
I have to admit I was a little jealous last season seeing Stewart having so much success while Ryan was struggling. I know it's impossible to have both race teams hitting on all cylinders but I have waited a long time in hopes of seeing Newman hoisting that Championship trophy some day!
Now that S/H has added Matt Borland and different support team members to Team #39 for 2013. I feel a little more positive about Newman's possible success in 2013. I honestly don't see a Championship for Newman in 2013 but stranger things have happened? Have to wait and see because you never know seriously?
Maybe I'm wrong about all I have said above.........what's your opinion?
