Harvick to SHR in '14

I'm in a state of shock right now, this possibly means Ryan will be out at SHR in 2014, he's gonna have to run good next year and attract some sponsors! Really hard for me to believe that SHR will be in a position to be able to run 4 cars in '14.

Is strange that this announcement would happen right now, as Harvick, and possibly Ryan will both be 'lame duck' status for the entire season next year. Usually that doesn't bode well for performance.

Under Stewart-Haas' plan, sources said, Harvick will drive a fourth SHR Chevrolet, teaming with Tony Stewart, Ryan Newman and Danica Patrick to form a four-car stable.

"Stewart-Haas Racing's driver lineup is all set for 2013, but if you're talking about 2014 and if Kevin Harvick is available, that's something the team would have to look at," SHR team spokesman Mike Arning said. "Any team in this garage would do the same.

"From the moment Stewart-Haas Racing was formed, becoming a four-car team is something it's been striving for. They have the infrastructure to accommodate a fourth team, and if everything aligns properly, it's something they'll do. So, if a driver the caliber of Kevin Harvick is available, it's something they would pursue."

Honestly, I wasn't worried. All Nascar owners know Newmans potential. They know his numbers are down mainly because of bad support!

Borland will have the off season to get things in order!

So the rumors were true, Harvick should have left RCR when Penske offered him a ride.I'm still going with the rumor,this rumor has been going on for over a year.

Then I'm guessing that cupcake is bringing a sponsor. Does anyone know how long Bud is signed for? If they're free at the same time, I could see it. Boy, I bet that chafes RC's hide. First, Bowyer is better than all his boys put together and now this. Just for that reason alone, I may change my mind about this. As long as Ryan stays, I really don't care that much. I just hope he and Matt kick some butt next year. That will make me feel better than anything else...

The sponsor contract is up the end of next year as well as Kevins,i do know Budwiser isn't happy,so this could possably all hold true.Budwiser isn't excatly the highest paying sponsor,but they aren't bad either.Kevin takes Bud with him,i can see this rumor come true,the fans on his site are pushing for him to leave RCR too,but i'd of prefered Penske when he had the chance. SHR is ok,but Tony will always come first long as he drives in my mere mortal opinion. Kevin and Brad would have been awesome,i can't stand Joey being at Penske next year!

I'm over being shocked on this but the analysts are all talking about how this was leaked by Kevin's camp, and that it was done so at this time for a reason. Such as Kevin hoping to get out of his final year with RCR and moving to SHR next year?

Hoping that Bud does come with as that could prove very important (but Bud coming over for '13 would be out of the question), and if Ryan and Borland can put up top 5s like last weekend there should be no reason to let him go. Honestly a team with Tony, Kevin, and Ryan is a really strong team and all 3 are really good friends.

Does anyone know how long Danica was signed for? It would seem she should be the odd person out if GoDaddy leaves. I'm not convinced she can just land a new $20 million sponsor like Dale Jr. seemingly can.

Also, maybe Tony will need to start thinking forward a bit on how long he will want to keep at it being a full-time driver as he gets into his mid-40s, after 2014.
