POST TEXAS-LET THE JOHNSON LOVE FEST BEGIN!

Sun Nov 04, 2012 8:19 pm

Sundays haven't been much fun for me. My pro football team keeps loosing(Bengals) and my favorite Nascar team has no speed!

For the life of me. Where is team #39's race car speed? :?

Newman finishes P12 which isn't horrible. I guess waiting for next year will have to be my motto for now I guess! ;)

Schmoopy's scanner posts are much more revealing. I'm sure he will stop by and comment?

Looks like Championship number 6 for Jimmie? I swear his cars have so much speed it's amazing!

HAHAHAHA   beat you to it......Go to the NASCAR &Racing section and look at my latest post there. I simply quoted my post from September 30th.....You're draggin' your feet in your prediction.....I saw it coming a LONG time ago as evidenced by my original prediction. Just look at the title I'm speaking of....

OFF TOPIC: It's not been an enjoyable year for my chosen sports teams 39_newman! My Cincinnati Reds went to sleep in the playoffs and Ryan Newman can't stay up front no matter what he does! Next year seems to be a reoccurring theme for me............. :D

Have to say I really liked what I saw from Borland early in the race with those strategy calls, keeping Ryan out long and then not pitting to gain all that track position. Reminded me of what the 2 team has been doing this year. That's the kind of thing the 39 team should always be doing.
Either that, or just follow the same exact strategy as the 48, which they sort of did also when they were the last 2 to be pitting in the first half of the race. Things always work out for the 48 somehow, why wouldn't more crew chiefs just blindly follow what they do? Too bad for the pit penalty when they went from 9th to 25th.

We knew already the car didn't have speed but supposedly the team got it working better the night before. Ryan couldn't keep it turning on the bottom all race, really wish that constant tight condition they have on tracks like this could be resolved.

That's what you will find is much better about having someone like Borland 8Ballin. He was a bit like Chad K. back in the day. Never settling for one point of view but rather more "outside the box." Every race is a puzzle that has to be solved in real-time! Only big problem would be not having any adjustable race car room with what you brought to the track that day. You only have so much wiggle room so to speak as you know. That was Gibsons major problem as I have said a trillion times. He was maxed out so many times and if not had no clue where to go with adjustments!

My, my...how quickly things can change.

Now all Brad has to do is keep clear of the "other three hunters" at Hendrick next week. Then of course there's the other Hendrick "associates"...lol.

Of course the possibility looms that Mr. Gordon and Bowyer could be parked for Homestead to let tempers cool.

It wouldn't bother me in seeing native Ohio Nascar owner Roger Penske get his very first Nascar Championship! I think Hendrick has had more than his fair share! ;)

I agree, for Roger's sake. He deserves a Cup Championship after so many decades of trying.

I'm not a big Brad fan, but I'd like to see Roger win this one.

fair share? its called working hard and supplying whatever your teams need to succeed, not all team owners have that same mentality, its because MR H strives to be the best, penske hires mid-level drivers and thats the results he gets, only thing he did right in nascar was hiring brad

I don't care for Brad either. Loved Stewart winning last year! I just like seeing un-familiar race teams get their day in the sun. It's good for Nascar in my opinion! :D

I do think Roger should reconsider Sam Hornish......Joey Logano, I am sorry, I just don't see his talent!! Yesterday Joey raced Brad like it was the last lap....give me a break! This is your new teammate for next year and he is going for a championship....Pull over.....that's what team mates do!

The only reason I liked Sam was because you guessed it........he's from Ohio! So is Dave Blaney and so is Jack Roush/Roger Penske. OHIO in the house!

But, if they turn out to be bad drivers....I won't claim them!

I agree with you on both drivers, Annalee... 100% :!: Sam should be getting the Cup ride with Penske and Joey should still be looking for a ride. :? I don't understand Roger's thinking.

Brad and Joey are not teammates yet. Joey is Denny and Kyle's teammate. Really? Pull over? I don't think so. They're not paid to pull over. Kyle didn't pull over for Denny yesterday and he shouldn't. Ryan and Tony don't pull over for each other. Brad was upset that Jimmie wrecked because he wanted to beat him racing. That should say it all.
