"DO IT AGAIN!" MARTINSVILLE THIS SUNDAY!

Wed Oct 24, 2012 10:09 am

The announcement of the old grey fox Matt Borland returning has been a "breath of fresh air." The air would normally smell like an eggs and beer fart with Gibson!

But seriously folks.........I personally don't expect Matt to be the "magic man" who will receive car adjustments from the Nascar racing gods. There will be a lot of un-answered questions until the race is over this Sunday. If Ryan would end up P9 I will be a little disappointed but happy he finished the race! Let's face it, Matt couldn't do any worse..................

Also, there's those Ryan Newman "things he can't control" that could possibly happen? I hope not! :?

Newmans numbers are:STARTS OF-1/27/4/2/12/5..........FINISHES OF:-7/6/4/30/20/1.........Newmans one and only win this year was this track! Still, no poles! :?

You folks who can listen in on the scanner will be able to give us all good commentary post race! :D

Just remember. Ryan may not show us a lot in practice. Their strategy may be put up a low speed for a later qualifying draw since they have changed how qualifying works. 8-)

Paint scheme will be Quicken Loans! Would be nice to get a win for Newmans more dedicated sponsor! :D

My pro football team has a "bye"(thankfully on their 0-3 loosing skid) so I can spend a little more time on my Nascar this Sunday! :D

Enjoy the race!

If Kyle Busch isn't competitive then honestly Ryan's gonna have to do whatever he can do to not get dumped by him in this race as it will be easy pickens to do so. He might not get much slack from Gordo or JJ either as they were putting some blame on him for the last Martinsville end of race incident.

So hopefully he can qualify up top and stay there. Maybe with Borland on the box they won't make calls that put him 23rd in the pack after being up front.

Ryan use to be the "cleanest" driver in Cup. But years of frustration and pressure to perform has transformed him into the "mad rocket." :D

It would be nice to see him have enough balance to stay more towards the front. Unless it's some kind of strategy to avoid wrecks by hanging mid pack to the rear? :?

If Kyle does try to dump him I'll wonder how he's gonna retaliate. I kind of like the postrace face-to-face approach myself, as long as they can get it on TV. Gotta make sure he's parked though first as to avoid a Kevin Harvick-like situation at Darlington.

Isn't Kyle supposed to be on some type of short lease though now after being suspended last year?

I think Kyle is still on probation of some sort......I really think he will NOT be a problem......he still hasn't signed a contract for next year. Sponsors and contracts should keep him under control......  , but commons sense hasn't been Kyle greatest attribute. ;)

I fully expect Ryan to have a bad finish here. (Thanks to Kyle)
Unless they talk things out before then but I doubt that very seriously because Ryan is in belief of not feeling bad about it at all.

They only had one practice before quals. Newman will go out P17!

What's most important folks is racing trim and keeping Newman's car balanced on long race runs. The last lap is all that matters! ;) 8-)

Newmans win at this track was a fluke but we will take all the flukes we can get!

Have to wait and see? If I recall, Matt was very good at making adjustments! 8-)

personally I think these shorter then short tracks are rediculous for big heavy nascars as they are much better for like Outlaw or Sprint cars, but --oh well. Wonder how many cars will be 5 laps down in 20-30 laps short as it is, or maybe 20--30 cautions instead--cant remember the last ones? They need to hope that Brad K and or JJ is out early if anyone else is to have a chance thats farther back in points.

dont forget denny, clint too, brad screwed himself with that goofy warm up lap, that driver starting first (im not allowed to mention his name) and denny 4th, should have a good battle, its really anybody's race, just a mini dega track, without the speed.

LOL, just a small thanks from the insecure Schmoopster! :P
(BTW you can say his name, just not his name & Championship in the same post) 8-)

What? We can't say Jimmie Johnson, the 5 time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion? 5 consecutive years from 2006-2010? I didn't know that... Wait, I get it, I'm not in the JJ forum...
