KANSAS HERE WE COME! 10/21/12

Wed Oct 17, 2012 10:02 am

My uncle Jim lives there and I like the band Kansas.

Ok, this post I will put a spin on my usual commentary in honor of the current election! Try not to laugh..........

Team #39 the most successful race team with Stewart Haas Racing will be heading to good old Kansas! I'm so excited about Ryan's chances for a win there I might just call off work just to see it live! With starts of:30/6/12/11/13 Newman has a great shot at the pole! And, with finishes of 22/9/15/18/20 Newman is certain to be doing his famous burn outs carrying the checkered flag!

No doubt crew chief Tony Gibson will be on his game! He said he may wear a girdle so as to appear a slimmer more effective crew chief. There's been talk he may be up for "Crew Chief Of The Year!" :D

We will see Ryan start out approx. P10 and by lap 10, Newman should be up front and contending! :D

Practices will be Friday 12:30PM and Saturday 11AM and 1:30PM. Quals will be Friday at 5:00PM. Race will begin at 1:00PM.

The racing has been awesome hasn't it folks! Watching Ryan in his epic struggles only proves he and his team are Army tough and ready for Nascar battle!

Paint scheme is below! ENJOY THE RACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. Man, that was painful to write.............

Chevy39fan.......once again you have out done yourself! Is this a fictional novel you are starting like "Gone with the Wind" or the "Wizard of OZ".........Or are you not feeling well!?!
Last week I was so hoping you would use Ryan in his Ninja Turtle outfit and caption it.....only you could have done it justice!! I wonder what Brooklyn thought of it? You have to admit that was funny!

New pavement should prove interesting on the Kansas track! Could be good!

Thanks Annalee as always! I thought once I exposed myself as a long time "taillight chaser" State Trooper I would be talking to myself on here! I'm not real popular when seen in your rear view mirror.............

My sense of humor has kept me going through all the years in law enforcement but I have to put on the tough cop look as it is necessary. You have to when your life may be on the line. I'm all business when doing traffic stops.

The turtle outfit was hilarious! Ryan doesn't care. He's laughing all the way to his bank. Life has been very good to him and he knows it.

Been stressing out a bit with all these Presidential candidates practically living here in Ohio. We are a MAJOR swing state that it seems both the President and Romney want to win VERY badly!

Thanks for the acknowledgement as a state officer. I also served 3 years in the U.S. Army. Some folks don't care for cops until they need one! We are willing to risk out lives for even those who hate us! ;)

I actually had a good experience with a state trooper in Utah one time, though I did get a ticket. Of course I was speeding, going from Cali to visit my mom in Montana. I was in my 20's at the time and had a 67 Mustang with a 390 in it, so going the speed limit was not something I used to do very often on the Interstates. I happened to have my dog Tasha, a german shepard, with me at the time so when I got pulled over, he asked me to come sit in his car while he wrote the ticket. Tasha did take up most of the small back seat area and wasn't exactly friendly to strangers. So I'm sitting there in the car and noticed he had the coolest hat rack mounted to the headliner that held his "smokey" hat. He took it off the rack and put it on my head and laughed when it covered most of my face. It was pretty funny. After he gave me the ticket I asked if I could have the hat... Hey, it was worth a shot. He just laughed and said no. Probably the only time I ever didn't mind getting a ticket...

I also wanted to thank you for your service

It's a job just like most jobs. It has it's good and bad days. It's a lot more risky than most jobs. Yes there are good cops and bad cops. It's the bad cops that give us such a bad public opinion but bad employees exist every where you work!

Thanks for the acknowledgement.
