WRONG---I totally AGREE with you about Danica should NOT go to Cup, as Ive said many times before--BUT--it isnt mine or anyones decision other then hers and all her managers and controllers and sponsors who want her IN Cup. Danica IS a marketing tool, first and foremost for her sponsors and her brand and her results are secondary. While some keep saying she isnt any good and wont last much longer, facts are many been saying that since shortly after 2005 when she woke up the auto racing world to a young female driver who almost got the pole and almost won the Indy 500, getting more headlines and attention then the winner, who was Dan Wheldon, who actually had a funny T-short made up saying "he won the 500". Despite some still saying she wont last, she is more popular then ever and doing fine. Iam glad she has "thick skin" to ignore the nasty side of things surrounding her, but she is surrounded by many more fans and positive people in her corner and will be OK as always. Remember, its not like shes a new young driver with big dreams who cant get sponsored and will never have a chance--as shes never had that problem. Going to Cup will draw even more attention to her and her sponsors being a FT female in the Cup series which was their plan all along, whether we like it or not. The way her NNS season is going Iam somewhat more positive to her going FT to Cup next yr although lots of concerns as well but worrying about it wont change anything at this point.
Regarding Ryan regretting leaving Penski, only he knows that answer but he says hes happy at SHR but wait till after next season, then ask him again?
