Wonder if it's an isolated failure, or do the rest of the Hendrick engine users have to worry (bad batch of valve springs comes to mind)???

I was thinking - if EVERYBODY changed their engine and went to the back of the field, then the race would start in it's original, qualifying order and Ryan would be back to starting 3rd.   ;)

How's that for logic :!:

I wonder how that rule actually works?

Do they take everyone that has to go to the back (say 4 cars) & the best qualifer starts ahead of the other three, or do they go by 1st come 1st serve? Another words. A guy that qualifed 23rd reports to nascar they have to do whatever (engine change for an example) that requires then to go to the back putting him 43rd. Then the next guy qualifed 6th but later reports to nascar they have to go to the back, putting them 43rd & the guy that was 23rd now 42nd. So on & so on? Then the other two guys do it & now the 23rd place qualifer starts 40th & the 6th place qualifer starts 41st.

Anyone know how they place the guys that have to go to the back when there is multiple cars that do it?

From what I've seen, when there's been more than one, it's been in the order of when the engine was changed.

that is what i was wondering.
because i have seen where wwhen the race started I question why such & such was ahead of someone else.

So now if everyone changes their Engine Ryan would be on the pole
