Was there a race today?

Newman finishes 21ST!

Watching him race anymore is about as exciting as getting your wisdom teeth pulled!

Sorry for the sarcasm....................

Any thoughts on this race is welcomed!

that was just a sad race, I'll say it again they need only one Dover on the schedule now. It's always like that with hardly any cars on the lead lap. Great track concept just for some reason not great racing there anymore.

Was wrong about the Gibbs cars here, they just look pretty much the strongest team in Cup now. BK and the 2 actually remind me of Rusty Wallace, or maybe even Newman from 8 or 9 years ago, winning on fuel mileage like that. I'm wondering if they'll be as good next year with a new package and being the Ford B-team.

I accidentally deleted this race 8ballin. I switched over to the race during my pro football game and saw Ryan was -4 laps down. I knew at that point......no sense in watching the race anyway!

Sorry for all the gloom and doom. This blog is becoming a "ghost town" from all the negativity but folks. I can't "candy coat" reality in my writing. It's just not me!

If there was a bright spot in this race please elaborate!

I still cannot believe that race.......it was a snoozer......plus only 6-7 on lead lap. Give me a break, there was more excitement watching the Ryder Cup.. Not a fan of golf but love Bubba Watson. Two caution flags killed most of the field....they happened right after most everyone pitted when you have 23 cars taking the wave around....Debris.....what debris!! They never showed it, scanners were hot.... no one saw the debris! It truly is becoming a joke.
Then there was the gas mileage debacle..... Bad calls by some crew chiefs, ruined the finish for a lot of them...you can have the fastest car out there .....but no gas, no go !!!

Chevy39fan, what do you think about the new crew chief and team for Ryan? Having thought about for awhile, I am not so sure.?

I'm not a big fan of seeing only one car or team being dominant at any track! It's supposed to be a race.......not catch me if you can!

Have they named this new crew chief and crew yet for Ryan?

As you know Nascar's new race cars will be used in 2013 so you have so many un-answered questions at this point?

I could of only imagined Tony Gibson with the new cars!

Honestly Annalee, I will have to wait and see because there is no way of knowing how fast Ryan's new race team will adapt!

Watched the race highlights,i never watch Dover as it's always boring.The highlight of that race for me was seeing the #2 in the winners circle! Sorry,i want to see a new champion this year and the dark horse is my choice.BK again proves what no other driver has out there,he did it when he won the NW championship and i want to see him do it again in Cup! To beat HMS,Roush and JGR would be awesome in itself,i'd say RCR-but anyone can beat RCR nowadays.

Both Dover races were dogs, meaning terrible and they had record LOW ratings. I'll bet Nascar is watching and very concerned as anytime one or 2 cars dominate and almost lap the field before half the race is over--its over far as most the fans/viewers are concerned--obviously. Cut down the rear spoilers, remove the restrictor plates where used creating more horsepower and soften the tires so they wear out quicker and then see what happens? I turned the race over to football for a couple hrs then turned back to see the finish and the last 20 laps werent bad with pit and fuel stradegy playing a role, so why show the entire boring race, just say tune in the last 30 minutes to see the only best part of the race?? Does anyone think Nascar may be in trouble, course now the NFL IS stealing their thunder> Move the races to Sat night.
