Schmoopy, did you read the whole article, about the team? Zippy said all the members of the team were guys who approach everything with glass half full type of attitude.......does that sound familiar??
Also that the new crew chief candidates are under contract with other teams.......hmmmm ........that leaves out Brooklyn.
Who do you think it could be or who would you like it to be?......

I honestly dont have a clue who it could be.
Maybe Dave Rogers might be tired of being yelled at by Busch LOL. (he is under contract for next year isnt he?)
The guy I would love to have is Alan Gustafson, but no way will pry him away from HMS.
Also them being under contract doesnt necessarily mean a cup CC. Maybe Zippy is looking at NW CCs.

This is an idea, don't know my butt from a hole in the ground about things, but it's an idea anyhow. There have been 2 that were let go from another race shop recently that do have some experience in being crew chiefs, maybe one of them will be hired as Ryan's crew chief. Afterall they couldn't be any worse than what he's got now. And they both have the name of Tony Eury Sr or Jr.

How bout Zippy says Newman's team to Danica and that takes him out of the picture for Danica. Then he says I have a short list of CC's but there still under contract. Then when they can't get the crew chief they want supposedly, Zippy defaults to Newman's CC. ?? Tony did say he wanted to get Ryan a Championship.

Dave Rodgers is a great pick.......how about Mike Ford, I think he only signed a year contract with Petty?........or maybe Joey's crew chief Jason Ratcliff....or maybe Sam Hornish 's crewchief..
..don't know his name. I have heard some great things about Scott Zipadelli, don't know if he has enough experience and the brother thing? When Tony drove Nationwide for Kevin, he had a crew chief that was really good and I think he was crew chief for Ryan too. They both liked him a lot. Wish I could remember his name......

Regardless of the unknowns for next year right now, I think it's a good thing. I never thought Ryan and TG gelled on the track. With only a couple wins the last few years, Ryan needs a change.
Is Ryan getting dumped on somewhat? Maybe feels like it right now, but at least it's a move to do something different and I don't think SHR is going to do something stupid enough to damage their reputation or undermine one of their drivers. I'm sure Smoke has all of the teams' best interests in mind, regardless of how it all looks right now.

i tell ya Michael, it has been rough watching ryan this year, it was his driving that got him any good finishes, it was horrible to watch them take 2 steps back every time they pitted, which it kind of confuses me that Zip would give danica his team,

Well it makes sense to me.
You never want to get a new team & a new driver on the same team at the same time if you could help it.
She will join a team that has already been apart of SHR & Ryan will get new guys & they get a driver that has already been with SHR.
Now Danicas new pit crew isnt all that great, but she will still be learning for a year or two anyways. So as she improves & gets more knowledgable. they can make changes to that team as she grows. Like I mentioned earlier. She & the team can grow together. because I guarentee there will be some firing on her behalf as she gets better. Why waste someone that might be good, on her growing pains only to have that person gone by the time she gets up to par.

That is an interesting point...Maybe Ryan has been protecting TG for awhile now and now that there is going to be a pit crew shuffle if Danica doesn't like what is going on...she will speak her mind and demand for changes and I have heard her speak her mind on plenty of occasions. Nothing good usually comes out of it. This is where Tony is going to have teach this woman patience.

I really hope Ryan sticks with Tony/SH. I really think they are a good team. Ryan's a great and smart driver, and they seem to get a long great!

Well next year he gets a fresh start with SHR so we are hoping for the best. (cant be worse)
