Ryan fought hard last night

Just wish I didn't have to take medicine that knocks me out is all.
I fell asleep after the 1st (or was it officially the 2nd) rain delay at lap 139. Just before that lap, they listed Ryan behind Greg Biffle for the Lucky Dog, but Ryan must've seen sprinkles and passed Biffle at the right moment to grab the spot for the Lucky Dog.
He had a great finishing spot, but needed a lot of help to get into the Chase.
Do something with your life and go get me a beer.

he did good, so good that the tuna stays!!!!!

it would have been great to see him pull it off, but at least they have 10 races to improve their standings..

Re: Ryan fought hard last night

Ryan did well, as when he was leading Iam sure most here was doing a rain dance for the rain to come to call the race--but it didnt. I guess Ryans car was great for a short time leading then fell off too quick to hold the position as Bowyer took the lead and he fell back while Tonys car held up better running near the front--but good effort.

I think most the anylists in the coming week will talk about the upset of Gordon making the chase and Kyle NOT making it, as Kyle aired it out on the radio being bleeped that he wasnt happy, rightfully so some might say do to a bad pit call. I believe Kyle was the majority pick to make the Chase although some did pick Gordon, so just shows anything can happen.

Interesting race except for the boredom of waiting out the rain? 8-)

Re: Ryan fought hard last night

They've already started that master piece about Jeff Gordon and his chances for a championship. They have to be careful as there is 11 others in the chase and 42 other racer ready to win wherever they can. It will be spoilers time now and don't think Kyle Busch won't be leading the parade.

Re: Ryan fought hard last night

actually he didnt get it from Biffle. Biffle was ahead of the leader when the yellow came out.
But it sure was nice seeing Ryan in the lead for a bit. Hadnt got to see that for awhile.
He went from p9 to the lead in a short amount of laps. he had a crap handling car all night, & was very frustrated they never fixed it. TG just kept telling him he has good times. So Ryan went from p9 to the lead with a ill handling car. Which means he could only hold that pace as long as he had fresh tires.
Late in the race he repeatedly told TG he is still dealing with the same crap all race. plowing tight in the center & loose off. You could tell he wasnt to happy. Then he kept telling TG he didnt understand this. meaning why TG had left him out so long on the last stop. He wanted to take advantage of fresh tires instead of losing so much time to all the others on fresh tires. The knew they had to pit.
So with all these bad things going on, we got to see Ryan lead some laps & still finish 8th Image

Re: Ryan fought hard last night

It was hard to keep track of " who's on first, what's on second and I don' t know is on third"...... I kept seeing all these cars passing Tony, but the one good thing Tony's spotter did was to tell him that who ever passed him was either on new tires, or one or two laps down and who he was racing against.... Tony and Ryan supposedly had the same or similar set up, but Tony was so much better after about 20-30 laps on new tires, sounds like Ryan was a lot better on new tires and with the long green runs that didn't help his situation at all....he gave it his BEST.

Re: Ryan fought hard last night

The rain messed the whole race up and alot of them got lucky, unfortunately not lucky enough for Ryan and too lucky for Gordon.
Harvick may as well bring the #29 with him,he's bringing all the sponsors!
