& Marty Smith asked what were the chances of Ryan getting a deal done with SHR for next year.
Now in the past he would talk about , it being close to 100% & things that would indicate he was for sure coming back.
This morning he evaded the question all together. Started talking about the weather & what not.
Now I wonder if they got a deal pretty much done, or if Ryan has another consideration on the table now?

but serious, you think maybe ryan is sketchy on bein at SHR because office depot will no longer be a sponsor for tony? we know the first big sponsor SHR gets where it will end up, maybe it is time ryan jumps ship, but it might be too late to get a decent ride....

I didnt know office Depot was leaving. So yeah that doesnt give me the warm & Fuzzies when it comes to the 39 team next year.
His comments & how he acted has made it for the 1st time in a long time start to wonder if he was coming back. I was thinking he was staying even when I didnt want him too, but this was the 1st doubt I have had put in me. Thought it was curious how he side stepped the question.

i didnt see the interview so i cant comment, but in the past ryan would grin about it, and it sounded he was confident in the whole process.

also when he was asked he said he considered retirement & doing marty's Job. He didnt once actually come close to talking about the 39 team.

i dont think ryan would wait that long, he will do it during the interview, punch kurt in the face and say " dont be a moron."

i will be devastated if that cant get nothing for ryan to race next year, and if that is the case id call penske up and tell "dude we were winners together, put me in the 22."

with Sadler going to JGR NW team, makes me believe Joey is leaving. If he is leaving I can only imagine that is to the #22 car.
So unless RCR is getting rid of Burton (which I dont think is happening) I dont think there is anymore quality rides out there.
Ryan might end up racing for Finch or a 2nd team with Regan Smith. I really dont know at this point where Ryan could go if he leaves the 39 team.

And they say the elf could be Regan's teammate next year, so that might take that opportunity off the table. Especially since the elf has been minding his manners lately and he has a championship to fall back on.
