POST CALIFORNIA/ONLY THING GOOD WAS THE WEATHER!

Tony finishes second for Stewart/Haas while Newman finishes P18. Newman is just along for the ride once again! Not sure how much more I can take of this garbage! :?

The only thing resembling Ryan as the "Rocket" is how fast they can load up the hauler and get back home after the race! :?

Kurt Bush in a non-sponsored car finishes P3! Really, a better finish than Team #39...... :?

I'm calling Newman out! Ryan, please ask your owners for CHANGE!

Sorry for being melodramatic about this race team folks. I may need therapy here soon. :D

Your valued comments please!

Re: POST CALIFORNIA/ONLY THING GOOD WAS THE WEATHER!

Ryan actually got his lap back due to that last caution.

But his strategy was good. His setup not so much. It seems like he hasn't run as well on the road courses at SHR as he used to.

I think it is getting to that point that a change is going to happen. It would almost be a blessing in disguise if they missed the chase. Then I could see a change before season's end.

Re: POST CALIFORNIA/ONLY THING GOOD WAS THE WEATHER!

it is garbage, i been saying for well over a year TG was bad news, but people thought i was rocking the boat, now some are starting to wise up, this is unacceptable he is going backwards for months and nothing gets done....................... ryan is a company man, he wont say anything, and if SHR wants to keep the sponsors they have, they need to make a change, not ryan, he doesnt own the team, he can put his two cents in, but its up to the powers to be at SHR to change things, and as long as things are going well on the 14, nothing will be addressed.

Re: POST CALIFORNIA/ONLY THING GOOD WAS THE WEATHER!

I say that they should take any of the sponsorship logos off the back of TG's shirt and use MJ's avatar because it is far more accurate about what their team is going through and what poison TG is to that team.

Tony, Gene, and Zippy need to get rid of TG.

Re: POST CALIFORNIA/ONLY THING GOOD WAS THE WEATHER!

trust me, that last line i wrote was not a dig at tony, byt from a ryans fan perspective it appears the 14 gets the priority, and thats fine,i guess we wont really know the story until ryan no longer drives for SHR, i just dont get it, really dont... HMS bent over backwards the last 2 yrs to make sure jr has the best HMS has to offer, but the tuna keeps skating by, and it cant on his good looks.

Re: POST CALIFORNIA/ONLY THING GOOD WAS THE WEATHER!

Ryan is no longer the "Rocket" in my opinion.

He has been reduced to being called "The Dancer!" One step forward, two steps back! Either that or now can be called,"Team Astaire!" :D

I give all credit to Hidden Hollow for this idea/new name from reading his reply on another post on here! ;)

It does seem strange watching Newman struggle while his team mate is excelling wonderfully MJ I have to admit. But, I just think Newman has ended up with a bad race team not by design? Showing no signs of change may be the Nascar way of doing things. Legal contracts have to be considered as far as employees are concerned. Neither Tony or Gene would entertain a law suit from a disgruntled employee. It all depends if there was a clause in their contracts based on performance? 8-)

Knowing Stewart as an owner would in no way jeopardize his competitive team mate. To much money/racing ego invested in my opinion! It's good business having your team mate doing well. Stewart is "razor sharp" when it comes to the racing business! :D

Re: POST CALIFORNIA/ONLY THING GOOD WAS THE WEATHER!

well what we have here are two men who dont run to the media when things go bad, so we may never get the whole story. i know this is a stretch and i brought him up last year as a CC would be ron malec (even tho he said he was content being a car chief) he would be a good fit for ryan if he stays with SHR, all these years working aside of chad had to rub off............. maybe it is ryan's fault he has the same CC, maybe he is a chronic farter( just tryin to find some levity in all this) and it chased people away, accept the tuna........

Re: POST CALIFORNIA/ONLY THING GOOD WAS THE WEATHER!

The big FISH that got away was Mike Ford.......I really like MJ's idea of putting Ron Malec in but I don't think Chad would want to give him up.

Friday and Saturday Tony was really struggling with his set up and his car, but he made it very clear that things needed to be changed with the setup. Steve worked his magic and things were good. Steve knows how to call a race. He takes good risks.....

I was so happy with Ryan's car because he qualified so much better than Tony, but no matter how well he qualifies, it all goes bad during the race. Who is Ryan's car chief? The set ups are good, maybe put his car chief in charge during the race to make the calls.

Re: POST CALIFORNIA/ONLY THING GOOD WAS THE WEATHER!

About the only good thing about this race was how visible the car was with the green and blue paint scheme.

Other than that...same ol' same ol'.

I guess we'll all have to just wait and see what happens at the end of the season. So many scenarios. Ryan will get what he wants, stays and hopefully things will get better.

Or if Ryan is as good a driver as well all know he is, he'll leave SHR for a team that is more attentive and interested in winning. In which case Tony will say he let him go because he wasn't that good.

But like I said, we'll just have to wait and see knowing one person will determine what happens and it appears he wants to be "top dog".

No matter what position Newman starts at 39-newman. His finishes are abysmal considering the equipment he has. No excuse really. But I don't blame Ryan! It's not a driving error or errors. 8-)

I'm just trying to create some Nascar fodder for the lack of good race results. No fan can be enjoying this sloppy race team right now. Unless they are a lite-fan! :D

Re: POST CALIFORNIA/ONLY THING GOOD WAS THE WEATHER!

people know i am a fan of HMS and it shocks me that ryan gets the top equipment out there and the tuna has no idea how to handle it, look at Kurt B, the 51 gets their cars from HMS and for one kurt ran a race that he was capable of doing at brought it home 3rd, tony 2nd, JJ 5th, gordon 6th,

annalee brought up a good point about the 39 car chief, maybe he would be a better fit, just because you go out and get a big name CC doesnt always mean you will have success, maybe there is a member of the 39 team that could take over, and get rid of the fun that the tuna brought to the 39...

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't JJ run out of gas on the last lap where he could have finished in 4th?
