POST POCONO.....NO!

well I am ok with playing the blame game. & I am blaming TG.
Not for adjustments as Ryans car was better than Tonys all day long, except for one run in the middle of the race. Even at the end Ryans car was better than tony's. Just Tony's CC is smarter is all.
The 39 team stratergy was perfect if they did what they planned. They came in took tires near the end, & was suppose to come in about 6 laps later of green laps for a splash of gas. This would allow Ryan clean air driving & when alll the others stopped he would have gained time, or if the yellow came out. He would still be on the lead lap (they were using RC stratergy) & when the others pitted for fuel he would just move up to the front. (Which Tony did do)
However, TG never brought Ryan back in for the splash of gas & the yellow did come out. Which painted Ryan in a box. If he pits (which he did) they werent getting back to the top ten. If he stayed out, he had a chance to steal a victory, as their car was handling well at that time, & he would have restarted in the 2nd row. If they would have known how many yellow laps that particular caution was gonna go as nascar extended the caution for debris, they would have stayed out. Let alone the caution later that came out. But instead they came in killing their guarenteed top 5, & restarted 18th. Where he did work his way up in the few green flag laps they had to 12th. Before then he was running better than Mark, Logano, Tony & Hamlin. So the threat of winning would have been a real one. Like I said because they didnt follow their game plan for the splash of gas during green, is why they ruined their guarenteed top 5. TG is incapable of decision making on the box. What killed me this weekend was he didnt pulll the trigger to bring ryan in for the splash, & that was their stratergy! He couldnt even follow their own stratergy properly.
So no I dont blame him on the adjustments part so much, but definitely blame him as a CC for losing 7+ points for ryan, & a possible win. This team is so frustrating. Now that Joey won the race, he willl probably stay in the 20 car, which was really the only other quality ride out there.
Bottom line, us Ryan fans are screwed.

i dont even follow ryan anymore on the radio, because of this, its like watching the keystone cops muck something up, tg, is a joke and so are the powers to be at SHR for letting this continue, i could give a monkeys paw what addington does to tony's car, this is the 39 thread.

While I feel your frustration. Schmoopy I tend to agree with MJ in this...it is the powers that be at SHR. I am surprised some of these things aren't being focused on and fixed.

Thanks for "filling in the blanks" S1000! I ALWAYS have to work Sundays so I had to drop the scanner option. It really does keep you so much more involved and informed as to what is going on in an entire race! Plus, I have to watch the race recorded with my satellite receiver.

In racing just as any sport in most cases. The fault generally lies with the man/woman "running the show" so to speak. And in Nascar, it IS the crew chief. Nascar is no longer the fastest car wins but more or less who has the best (racing luck) and strategy. And many times the strategy is an educated guess that may or may not work?

Team #48 is the "poster child" for things to "come out on top" a very high percentage of the time when all is said and done. Their talent is superior in all areas as well. Chad is the car balance/set up master and all Jimmie has to do is stay out of trouble!

How many times have we witnessed the same ending to a race from Newman? Runs up front most of the day and "brain farts" towards the end and looses track position! Come on Team #39 dang!

Seen it boring and couldn't believe i couldn't find anything else on the tube,the IRL race was good thou. Don't feel bad for Ryan anymore,he doesn't want any changes and doesn't leave SHR the end of the season,then it's on him.Personally,i believe alot of these drivers don't care as much as they should and are just happy they're in the big $$$$$$$ time. Harvick is another one,same situation as Ryan,he wants to stay at has been RCR,don't feel bad for him either.Still like both drivers and hey what the #### is going on at Penske,mopar or Penske?

It's true! Most drivers are either multi millionaires or are on their way of being that. The thrill of racing is all that is left because there bank account is stuffed and even the thrill may be gone? It becomes "just a job" and they either have a good or bad day"at the office." I guess their sponsors care and maybe a few driver really give it their all for the sponsors. Who knows I guess?

You want to think they are concerned about winning when maybe it's all just saying what everyone wants to hear? They have become celebrity actors that just so happen to drive race cars.

Oh well, nothing us fans can do. All we want to see is their best effort and they continually tell us they are giving that. It then boils down to "blind faith" in knowing that!
