POST TALLADEGA.....UHH, ENGINE FAILURE!

After all the talk about how Newman struggles at this track and.......it happens again!

I couldn't believe it folks. I record all the races due to my hectic work schedule. Decided to sneak the radio on only to hear an interview with Ryan who was "out of the fricken race" already! It reminds me of all those past "snake bitten" races of old.

His old employers driver wins the race (Brad) to add insult to injury. What can you do?

I know what your thinking as a Newman fan. When will his luck ever hold up an entire race season?

Newman had a race ending 36TH place(DNF) for Bass Pro Shop and is NOW 13TH in Nascar Sprint Cup Series points!

Ryan's win is going to come in handy for Ryan though. Even though he is 13th in points he is still in the chase. He and JJ had the same issue. JG and Tony were having issues before they wrecked too.

i didnt like what happened myself, it was a drag, i hope they make a change to the engine package, dont let it get ya down, there is always next week.

I noticed when ever Ryan has a bad day at the track. Most folks would rather not comment or post. I guess I can understand that?

Can't wait to read his post comments and how he will tie it in with his primary sponsor Bass Pro Shop's grand debut with Newman! As we all know, Ryan is Mr. Field & Steam! He loves fishing and the out doors. I guess that's why he left his home town of South Bend,Indiana. Way to much snow in the winter.

All is not lost with this DNF. It's just as a fan of many, many years it get's super old. It's like he can't get any positive consistent momentum going. Oh well, life goes on!

Those fans are sort of like me MJ. Newman has struggled since 2004. Sure he has won races but I'm talking about a legitimate contender for the Chase! That's like 8 1/4 years of hit or miss racing and it just wears on your attitude!

It's those "just racing" mysterious things that go wrong have haunted Ryan for many, many years! Bad things happen to good people but man.................

I know, I need to get a life or rose colored glasses or read Tony Robbins books but I was raised to deal in the now of reality. I guess there is a Santa Clause,Easter Bunny,Tooth Fairy too!

I hate agreeing with Kyle Petty but it has been too many years since they did the restrictor plate and technology has grown that they should be able to do something else that would help reduce the speeds at Dega and Daytona without the restrictor plate.

I read somewhere that they could do something with the EFI system. Anything would have been better than what they did. Also, they needed to shorten the race. Maybe 400 would be better. On the scanner Tony wanted to shorten it by 250 miles! Needless to say he wasn't having a whole lot of fun!

The sad thing is, Ryan had the 2nd longest current streak without a DNF, until Sunday. (behind Carl)
So now that streak is back to zero. & I am not even blaming it on bad luck. This was all on Nascar in my book.
