NASCAR AND NEWMAN HEADS OUT TO TALLADEGA!

I know it's a little early to be talking Talladega but the weather here in Ohio is abysmal(rainy and muggy).......about the same said for the last race!

If you have been following Ryan Newman as long as I have. You know these Super Speedway's are a serious "crap shoot" for Ryan!

Since 2009 Newman has Talladega starts of:7/8/16/10/25
Finishes Of:36/23/35/38/3

Newman's average starts at Super Speedway's is:15.3
Finishes Are:21.5

Ryan had wrecks in:2009/2010

Practice will be this coming Friday at: Noon and 3:30 PM(ET) Quals are Saturday:Noon(ET)
Race is Sunday Noon(ET)

Ryan Newman is currently 10TH in points in the Sprint Cup Series of Nascar.

Bottom Line For Newman:We all know it's all about finding a "dance partner" at these type races/tracks. Newman only has one team mate. Odds are he may need some one other than Tony Stewart for drafting. We can only hope he will find a drafting partner! It's weird but I feel good about this race for Newman. dega is a crap shoot for everyone, so thats a plus there, i dont even know what to say, i would like to see a good finish, but as the sun rises, tony g and the 39 crew will put ryan behind the 8 ball at some point in the race.

Ryan usually pairs up with Denny, and I don't see that changing. It is suppose to be in the mid 80's for temp on Sunday, so the track should be fast and slick! Besides, we need a "Blooming Onion" on Monday, and what better way to get it than with a win!

Yes it's very true MJ. Newman struggles at these type of races. Ryan will be forced to take out 3/4 of the field in order to have half a chance!

If he doesn't get wrecked. His drafting partner will "hang him out to dry." Seen it a million times!

But maybe just maybe....he will break this commonly seen ending and thrill us with an exciting race win!..(smelling salts under my nose) then I will wake up from my dream!

That's the thing about these super speedway races. If your race car is the fastest of the field. You have a chance of winning by yourself. If not, you depend upon help from another driver. And THEY may go around you on the very last lap.

Dale Senior as I recall never liked this type of racing. I can understand his reasoning for that. You become way to dependent upon another driver. That's never a good thing in most cases.

How many races have we seen Ryan "hung out" by himself as the field blows by him since 2002? It's thoroughly disgusting I can tell you for Newman and us poor little fans.

At least with his Bass Pro Shop paint scheme. The post interview won't be that typical,"Well we fought like our soldiers at the end of this race." "It wasn't the finish we wanted!"

Just for fun. Think of his post interview naming "Bass Pro Shop" as his primary..........."Like a box of Bass Pro Shop tackle." "Team #39 found a variety of ways to loose this race!" "We are "hooked" on loosing I guess!"

Denny hangs with him. But then Tony runs into a tandem team that were already hooked up together, which takes Ryan out of contention. Or their is the time where Tony simply took Ryan out himself.

As for the last couple years, Ryan hasn't been so much left out to dry & being damaged late in the race, & finishing with a crippled car.

Before any damage he is always being found out front. Ryan is the epitome of Feast or Famine on Plate tracks.

Long story Short, I kinda hope Ryan stays away from Tony during the race!!!

Ryan simply is the hard luck driver on the plate tracks. He would happy to get out of there with his car in one piece and not losing points.

im not a big fan of that theory, coulda, woulda, shoulda, i goy by results and facts, not what ifs, this is just me talking, plate racing has gotten boring, and it usually takes one moron to screw up the day of many, and that was evident in this past daytona 500, i personally enjoyed the two car tag team...

So what about when Jeff Gordon and JJ finished 14th and 12th after dominating at Martinsville this year?
Tony Stewart finishing 43rd in the 2007 Daytona 500 after coming from the back to the front?
Jamie McMurray finishing 38th at Sonoma in 2007 after winning the pole, leading late , but ran out of gas?
Matt Kenseth at Vegas this year finished 22nd, but he ran top five all day and was caught up in a wreck.

The result doesn't tell the whole story, it's how you ran.

it means nothing to me, i could sit here and say, if JJ didnt get taken out of the 500 this year, he could be the point leader, at the end of the day, it is the result, not what if.............
