The Nascar Show Heads To Viva Las Vegas!

Last Sunday's race is in the books. Newman is 8TH in points!

As far as Newman and Las Vegas are concerned, his numbers look like this: His average start is 12.0/His average finish is 18.80. These stats include years 2001-2010.

Last year Team #39 started 3RD....finished 18TH.

With the new point system, Team #39 needs to some how avoid Newman's historic "bad luck" at ALL tracks! I know, none of us can control that but I'm just saying.

The media blitz on Trevor's Daytona win is slowly loosing it's steam...thank goodness! I was getting sick of hearing about it. He's a rookie and it's wonderful, I get it!

There has been a lot of talk on here about the medias lack of Ryan Newman commentary when he is clearly in the media video of what-ever! I use to think when he was sponsored by Alltel that Sprint was pressuring people to "down play" anything connected to Ryan and Alltel? Who knows? But, now that he's with S/H, they need to call off the dogs! Just one mans observation.

Looks like the Haas Automation #39 will be going out in the 8TH spot after Friday's quals!

I have no idea how well Newman will be in this race? Just look at my posted stats. They never lie!

The media is still in love with Trevor. Wonder what his finish would of been if there was about 10 more competitive cars running that didn't get wrecked?

Jeff Gordon is getting plenty of talk about his rare win. Can you imagine the ego crush Jeff has to put up with seeing Johnson every day and hearing "five time" knowing he's one short? You and I know, it's got to be eating at him a little.

All we can do is watch and hope for the best!

Ryan is looking strong so far this year, despite the 2 incidents at Daytona that killed his shot at the win. I think he'll do well in this race.

LUCK = preparation meeting opportunity, with a pinch of who they're running next to, or near (which can be tied to preparation & opportunity), and strength of competition.

True. If you can run up front, chances are you'll avoid the middle-pack wrecks.

I'm telling you HiddenHollow. After watching Newman since 2001. You can NEVER get your hopes up no matter what track he races at. That's why he's so hard to pin down with any "fantasy league."

You have heard all those comments from Kevin Harvick about "5-times" with that good luck he has.

I won the "Ryan Newman Fan Club Fantasy League" years ago. It was brutal with Ryan's patented,"Will he make it, bet he don't" racing luck!

All it takes is a hot dog rapper, a fat lady's old bra flying into Newman's grill and........his day is over!

I did see that. It really has me wondering about my weekly race picks. should I go with Ryan or will the hot dog wrapper do him in?!? Hmmmm

What to do, what to do...........

I always choose Ryan in my top 3 picks. Some my call it delusional, I choose to think of it as the power of suggestion. LOL Ryan is my guy & I will always pick him (when I remember to pick, anyways).

This was a hard race to pick. Looking at recent results, the top 3 came from a wide range of starting positions. I know the Ford's (as a group) practiced well Friday & Saturday, but I wasn't sure that was enough of a reason to pick them.

I could wind up a member of the 1-point-club again this week.
