during yellow Bowyer blows engine. Spotter telling ryan to stay a lane higher going in turn looks like oil down there.

on the restart Ryan went from p15 to p11.
Gained 4 spots!

Ryan says car is better but still tight. (so I guess they can make bigger swings at it now)

Ryan - tell Stewart if I am holding him up let me know, I just have a good groove up here high. (tony had passed Ryan, but Ryan passed him back)

TG says your good just stay up there.

ryan - 1st time I was free off I says leave it.

only 6 cars behind us (think they will pit)

So they finally find the handle they can deal with & they will change that characteristics with a two tire stop. He does gain 2 spots to p13. Looks like Tony was smart & took 4 tires he fell to p15.

Ryan is the only one 1 lap down. he is the LD.

they are saying all the tires were up. Ryan says there is something wrong with the right front tire. They will check the tire.

they will run as long as they can before they pit. (in hopes of a yellow)
it will hurt his times but best stratergy (he is only one one lap down)

TG always gives wrong info.
told ryan he is the 1st car one lap down. there is 4 other cars one lap down & Ryan is 2 laps down.
Now Ryan will probably just ride instead of catching the leader on fresh tires

Ryan says sorry about the tire, it just felt like something was wrong with the tire.
TG says no you cant take a chance old man, you did what you were suppose to do. We just have to work on our pit stops, & we salvaged what we could out of today. P20

Ryan spent most of the day mid to late teens.

He is usually late teens to early 20's so this is a typical cookie cutter race for him

He was on a push to get in the top ten when the tire issue came up
