Rusty is one of the biggest D_Bags you could have as a teammate. He didnt like being teammates & openly admitted such. He didnt get along with any of his teammates all the way til he retired. (Except for the couple races Mike Wallace raced with Penske) During that time while it was all about Rusty. Ryan still outwon Rusty! Ryan has never been on a championship team, so I think it gets confused on teams & driver talent. JJ has maybe the best team in Nascar History. Definitely top three all time. I could only imagine what would happen if Ryan had a similar team. Tony also has had top notch people on his teams his whole career. The best team Ryan has ever had was when he had a brand new team with Penske. When Ryan raced with Busch Penske was pretty bad as a whole. Neither of them did well. As far as blaming the owners of SHR for the crap team Ryan has right now. Yes I can blame them. This isnt a after a bad year thing. Which I dont think you should have kneejerk reactions after "a" bad season. This is now over three years of the exact same thing. If there were a lesser driver at SHR #39 team, they would have changed CC's I believe, because they would have never made the chase at all or win a race. it is an Owners responsiblity to try & make teams better, not just good enough to do decent. So while Tony feels the need to improve his championship team, while one of the only changes they make to the 39 team, is the guy the fetches the fuel & tires (pit support guy) There is more than enough reason to actually blame Tony & Gene. I point my finger directly at the owners for allowing such an inconsistent team. If they even for a second think it is the driver, then they should replace him then. Either way the point is they are ignoring the rpoblem called the #39 team. Which means they are failing that team. Plain & simple.
So even if we went by your theory that it might be ryan. Changes still should have been made by now. Which is on the owners, no matter if you want to say it is Ryan the Cc or anything else. If Tony was on the #39 team, there would be a ton of changes. You know when I came to thissite it was because I had to know why they werent fixing the horrible pit crew. That is pretty much the same as back then still as well. Is that on Ryan also? I would love to have ten races where Ryan switched teams with JJ or Tony. With no chemistry Ryan would be doing better than he is right now. Funny thing is he is always around the top ten, & we are stil unhappy, because we know what his talent is. If he had a team to match his talent, they would probably be talking about SHR (not just tony) as a powerhouse team like they do with HMS & Roush. I seriously wanted Ryan to leave SHR. Not because I think he will find a better team, but atleast there would be hopes of it. Him staying here means he will finish his career just like this. So then we will hear more from those that cant decipher from race driver & race team. We all agree (or maybe not) that Kurt Busch has talent & when he was on good teams was doing pretty good. Lesser team & he is looking like John Andretti. The team is key nowadays, which doesnt necessarily mean it will represent a drivers talent.

I was not arguing that changes need to be made Schmoopy. I'll be quiet now.

He doesn't want to own a team or be around a race track. Now to me that sounds like he doesn't have the passion some of the drivers have and what is on his mind is the farm he has and other things. I'm not saying he doesn't want to win or have championships as that is his where his money comes from but perhaps there is more to Ryan than money. Now I'm sure people change their minds and if there is a championship for him maybe just maybe he'd stick around for more. Who knows. I just hope he is happy with whatever he does. I think it would be awesome if he designed a new COT....

That also says Ryan is in pretty #### good cars. If he goes anywhere else his chances of winning are not really going to increase at all if any.
SHR is the first team to win multiple races this season.

Thats kinda BS.
Other organzations find CC's every year, that are better than what Ryan is working with. BTW, I am not opposed to stealing a top CC
