Roobie Loomis has left Richard Petty Motorsports as Chief Operating Officer

"I'm taking some time off," Loomis said to Fox Sports.com. "My contract was up in December and I'm looking to explore what's next. Richard is still family -- so is everyone else at Richard Petty Motorsports. The future is exciting because it's unknown but there's still a lot of uncertainty in what the future brings."

Loomis was a former crew chief for Richard Petty, first joining the organization in 1991 before moving into manegemtn positions to with the race team.

No-one can fix a problem with a team if there isnt one. Just because of what some fans, media or posters here suggest, it doesnt matter unless Ryan or SHR can see the problem, as there obviously isnt any, not major anyway? Its almost time to go racing, then assess the teams for possible issues later.

Besides if they hired someone new for Ryans team, he could end up being worse then who they have? There's an old addage "be carefull what you wish for".

I think it is funny, that you claim to just get into these teams. You also claim you dont follow Crew Chiefs, & you definitely dont follow Ryans team, yet going to explain to all of us that watch every aspect of the team we possibly can, that we obviously dont know what we are talking about, & how your opinion of this race team is obviously the most sound.

BTW the only way we could get a worse CC is if we hired Dingers old CC that was fired for irwin.

Sounds like he needs some personal time off. Dont think you will See Loomis doing any kind of full time duty for anyone this year. (from the way things sound)

It is too late to make a CC change for the beginning of this year. Unless there is some kinda major fight internally, we are stuck with Gumby! I am just hoping Zippy keeps an eye on the situation, & confronts the issue we call Crew Chief this year. or at the very least trys to improve the intelligence dumbass as the season goes on.

The fact is I dont need to be a nascar expert to see that some here are fanatical about their drivers like Ryan and think they know more then the actual teams or people in charge. Fans are never happy, but contantly complaining and whining making repeated posts about "days of nothing" is childish at best--grow up and give it a rest.

No wonder there arent many people on this board/forum seeing nonsense like this thread. I came here to read about news and info that sme here provide, but not to see 5 yr old whining/ranting like this thread, as it accomplishes nothing--too bad you cant see that.

actually the fact is, besides the fact you know nothing about Ryans team CC's or any other subject on Ryan, & you use blanket statements, so you can claim to have some knowledge, you also dont know any of the posters on here, or how patient we have been up til now, with SHR. So ignorant attacks are quite comical, with no base of logic behind it. Some of us refuse to wear rose colored glasses. Dont think there is a single SHR fan of any kind, that woulld think Gibson is better, than Grubb, Yet Tony needed a new CC pronto. So please just come back to me when you have a logical answer, not based on biasness. Your blanket statement of if there is something wrong with a team the team would make a change, sounds good if you were the media, but the fact is, (I know again I am useing facts) there are more teams out there with something wrong with them, than there are teams set to go after a championship. Much of those teams do not make changes. (the 39 being one of them) So because you are a fantical fan of Tony & Danica, doesnt mean the 39 team is all good to go.

BTW, if you only come to the ryan section to look for news, dont bother. there is no news on Ryan. You comment on this thread to play holyier than thou, & your not very good at it. So if it is true, you are here "only" for Ryan news, & you hate this thread, quit posting on it. Why would you do something you hate?

Theres no dought because you are not a nascar expert nor are you knowledgable about the teams involved here. So face it you have no idea what your talking about. But yet you continue coming into the Ryan side of this site just to look for trouble. So lets just start at the begining if the team is perfect and its Ryans fault Why did Tony hire him? Tony has put together some winning teams so your now coming in here doughting Tonys ability. Then theres the facts if you were here as we as fans watched the whole season for the last three years. It went like this bad set ups wrong set ups wrong calls team errors time after time over and over race after race. That is why as fans we are fanatical. So when you dont know what your talking about dont come in here and rant and rave about things you dont know about. Just stay out of this side of the board and let us few Ryan fan fanatics talk knowledgable about our driver. I just dont understand why you insist going against the grain. A lot of us here LOVE Schmoopy! He gives us Ryan FACTS & info that sometimes no one else can. He keeps us informed in the chat room with tons of details & info.

Schmoopy is kind of like my brother... ( who passed ) he don't say much all the time... but when he does talk, a lot of folks listen. That's because he doesn't fill his blogs with BS to hear himself type / talk.

If Schmoopy wants to get on here and count grains of sand, then that is A-OK with prob more than 1/2 of the board. He knows... he cares... he monitors ... and lets us know. You, racer, are the only one complaining. It's been said 100 times or more in the 3 years inception of the site... if you don't like what you see... don't look anymore.

One last thing... I suppose you can consider yourself lucky that in the off season there aren't that many who come here. Just wait until the season starts and you get a ton more people seeing your blogs. Good luck with that.

I read somewhere, that she was the only race car driver, that made America's top 100 richest people. Which I really couldnt believe, but again I am to lazy to research it to refute it. However this is just an example that goes along with your Cash cow response. Because she isnt the top race car driver in earnings on the race track. Its from everything else.
