Almost ....

Ryan and Denny were, in my opinion, the two that would shoot it out at the end .... they were kicking #### the second half of the race and at times looked untouchable .... Ryan had a great shot at the victory .... even though he didn't get it, he did one #### of a job today, and hopefully shows the strength of the #39 team for this season.

Ryan drove a helluva race. But again, he gets swept up in somebody elses wreck.

It is truly amazing how cursed Newman is at this track!

Minding his own business as usual and then on lap 4 like it was scripted......the wreck!

Then to add to his bad day, another wreck gathers him up and keeps him from a better finish.

Heck, Stewart finished 13TH to Newman's 21ST. It could of been much worse I guess..........

On to Phoenix!

he did a great job, just got bumped the wrong way, what counts is his performance on the mile and a half tracks, im not down on today, he did good, even if the result doesnt show.....

The 33 and 39 were really the class of the field all day, even though really all of RCR would have been in that scenario if not for the engine trouble. Ryan really had a chance to win both the Shootout and the 500, so you can't ask much more on the team's end. It was just unfortunate it didn't work out the way it could have.

It sure was nice hearing his name a lot on the radio today, leading the field.
he slid past his pits a lil today, but that's all I heard that went wrong, aside from the 2 incidents early & late.

Ryan ran strong today I really thought he had a chance at the win. It was a great start to the season to him run so strong.

I think Ryan did a great job during the race. Again he gets caught near the wall 3 wide, and wrecked. I was in the chat room during the race and Schmoopy had Ryan's radio on. After Ryan was wrecked the 2nd time his crew told him his radiator was done. Ryan told them he didn't care, put in water & get back out there. With 3 laps to go, a wrecked car & he still would not quit! That is why I am a Newman fan! Best driver out there. He refused to start the year with a DNF. Onto Phoenix, let's hope for a repeat of last springs finish. Ryan in victory lane!!

Ryan Rocked that race.......I was very proud of him!!!! Guess he didnt lose that lil demon that follows him...lol.....we need to go hunt that lil sucker down and shoot him so it'll leave Ryan alone and he can race w/o getting caught in someone elses mess!!!!

I noticed he not only got points for leading a lap, but leading the most laps.

Ryan did great yesterday. I really thought it was going to be his day. Loved the teaming up with the 11.

I find myself not praying that Ryan wins a race, but praying the other drivers don't wreck him.

Yeah, and that's a shame. I don't know what it is, but too many times it seems to be "wrong place, wrong time" for Ryan. If it's a matter of luck, it's bound to change... for the better.
